Quote :
"And my opinions....

QB

WHO TO START

Romo - This one is the easiest of all 3 choices. He is playing well, and will be playing in a game that is likely to be a high scoring affair. 2 TD's. 250 yards. Easy.

Favre - I know its out on a limb, but I have a great feeling about Favre this week. If this is his last season, which it may very well be, this will be his last game at Lambeau. You cant run on The Vikings, so Favre is going to throw at least 50 times. He will defintiely throw 2 picks, but I also believe you can add 325yds and 2 TD's to that stat line.

WHO TO BENCH

Rivers - He hasnt been playing great lately...to say the least. Compound that with the fact that they will be playing in Seattle, which has been brutal to opposing (and home) QB's in the past few weeks because of the wind and rain, I see this as another showcase of "Everyone suck LT's Dick". I dont trust Rivers this week.

WR

WHO TO START

Fitzgerald - without a doubt Lienart's favorite target since he has come back from the hammy injury. SF sucks against the pass, and Fitz had 8 catches for 130 yards last time they met.

WHO TO BENCH

Johnson - he has played well against the Colts, going for 60 and a TD last time they played, but he has been plagued by inconsistency in the past few weeks. He is a high risk, high reward start. You cant do that in the finals.

Booker - injury forced him out of last weeks game in the 1st quarter. He didnt return, and he shouldnt return to your lineup until he can prove he is healthy.

Roy Williams - I bet he will be so close to scoring 40 points this week, it will be crazy. LOL. That was from his earlier game vs the Bears this season. I didnt forget how he bad mouthed thier secondary, The Bears didnt either. He won't do shit.

RB

WHO TO START/WHO TO BENCH

WOW, this one is a toughy. Both left last weekends games with apparent injuries, and didnt return. Chester's body is literally breaking down because of all the carries. With that in mind, and the fact that his game is on Thursday, it doesnt give him much turnaround time. He will be limited, so Henry should be in your lineup. It looks like he will play, and regardless, he is the teams bonafide Goal Line back. Start Henry.

TE

WHO TO START

Colston - He looked awesome this past week, and if it werent for some bad throws, he could have had ~4 more catches. I think he is back from the ankle injury. A must start.

Crumpler - I am going out on a limb here, as the last 4 games, Alge has only caught 11 balls for 197 and a TD. The last time he played the Panthers, he has 3 for 30 and a TD. The Falcons need this game, and Vick will throw, yes I said it, all over a depleted Panthers secondary. Alge gets 5 balls, 70 yards, and a score.

WHO TO BENCH

Gates - he only caught one ball last week, Rivers is playing like shit, Seattle is a tough place to throw, the Seahawks have the linebackers and safties (Tatupu, Peterson, etc) to match up with him. I could regret it, but I dont think Antonio Gates will be productive this weekend.

Defense

New England - No question. They are playing the best ball of those options, and the Jax offense had been anythign but impressive lately (except when they played the Colts, but they wont run like that on NE, especially with Fred Taylor hurting). Start NE.

There you have it.

I hope this helps.

I've got Steve Smith and Andre Johnson as two of my receivers and Colston at TE, whom should I start at third receiver?

Mike Furrey vs. Chicago
Devery Henderson vs. NYG

And of course, the usual Eli (vs. NO) vs. Vince (vs. Buffalo) for QB debate and Indy D (vs. Houston) or Cincy D (vs. Denver).

D. Henderson

I don't really trust either Smith or Johnson right now either. They've had a couple of sub-par games the last two weeks. Never know each Sunday.

Go Vince Young. He's the truth.

Everything for me is set except for QB. I have had Harrington and Big Ben for the past five weeks or so, and they have been solid for me, but with Ben playing Baltimore, things are a little different.

I picked up Rattay off the WW but I don't know if I am confident he will work well in his first real start. It's a toss up, and this is make or break time. I figure Ben will get me decent numbers because FWP can't run too much, but Rattay in my mine is a possible star, possible complete bust.

My starters now:
QB: undecided
RB: LT, Dayne (sitting Deuce)
WR: holt, Fitz, Galloway (sitting Cotch among others)
TE: Colston
K: Vinateri
DEF: NE (sitting Miami)

I think the Ravens are going to do the same thing they did to Pittsburgh the first time they played each other. Bench Parker for Jones-Drew. Besides, JAX is playing at home, and they are usually good at home.

I'd actually bench Alexander instead of Parker.

when Parker cant run the ball, he becomes an integral part of the passing game. The same cant be said for Alexander, who will be playing on a tough defense that just shut down Larry Johnson.

Also, keep in mind that Taylor may not play this weekend for the Jags, increasing the workload for Jones-Drew.

I like Jones-Drew and Willie as your starters.

^^ there must be some toher factors there, like return yards.

If not, how can you consider playing Moore at RB when he got 0 carries last week, 1 the week before, and Pinner (sp?) is now the proven backup to Chester.

Play Branch

Also, there is no way in hell you can ever consider starting McCardell. Have you seen the shitty season he is having?

Bench Keenan.

I ended up picking up Randel El in both leagues. I'm in the championship game in 2 leagues, but projected to be lose by 20 in one and like 30 in another (both opponents have LT).

I basically need Westbrook and Steven Jackson to go the fuck off, because I have them in both leagues. but they're going against the Dallas and Washington D's respectively. It's not looking great, but I hope to pull at least one out.

Ok, HUGE game this week... will break the first place tie, and is the difference between $500 and $100...

Chicago D vs Detroit

or

Green Bay D vs. Minnesota

obviously Chicago is better, but they are playing for jack shit and will probably rest a lot of starters and the Green Bay game is outside, 70% chance of precipitation, and Minnesota is starting a Jackson at QB, first time starting... leaning towards green bay

i would start chicago just because of the big play potential, and because it is a division rivalry. they don't want to get beat by the lions.

also, hester is a murderer with the ball, and i doubt they'd sit him.

Steve Smith
L. Coles
Lee Evans
Stallworth
pick one RB cause steven jackson is a must start
J. Addai
D. Rhodes
Travis Henry (I'm leaning toward henry)

WR: Coles & Evans

RB: One of the Indy RBs (I say Rhodes unless Addai has healed from his foot injury. Dungy says Addai is going to play, so if you feel confident about his foot, go with Addai. Otherwise, Rhodes will be the safe bet.)

Chad Johnson vs. DEN (ankle injury + Champ Bailey = not good)
TO vs. PHI (never know with this rivalry of player vs. team)
Chris Henry vs. DEN ( could be an option that stays away from Champ)
JCo vs. MIA (not much out of him lately and MIA D is good)

Currently have TO and Chad starting, but thinking of switching Chad for Chris Henry/

Pick Two. Thoughts?

team 2 cotch, MJD, and rivers. not that i think rivers will do that well, but i think hasselbeck won't.

if he cannot run, he will get involved in the passing game.

I'd say NE D. Garrard has been known to turn it over quite often and I expect they'll try to put pressure on him. And without Fred Taylor the ground-game will struggle with a hobbled-Jones-Drew running the ball a lot.

But I suck with my QB's, I never play the right ones.

Last week I played McNair and sat Vick...BIG mistake.

This week I started Vick and sat McNair...BIG mistake.

I'm tied 90-90 in my championship game. The other guy is finished and I have Owens and Reggie Brown playing tomorrow.

Unless something terrible happens I will be pulling off my first championship in an extremely competitive league that is in its 5th year.
