Damn, that would be quite the comeback.

I was trying to find if there was any precedent for that. Deion Sanders is the closest one I see right off. Retired in summer after '00 season, returned for the '04 season. But he was only 37 when he came out of retirement. He also didn't try to do it in the middle of a season. He also just happens to be one of the all-around greatest athletes ever known to walk the earth. So, uh, good luck Rivers.
