By that logic, Bioshock isn't worth dick because I got it on my PC. Uncharted and R&C are most definitely "must haves" if you own a PS3. Uncharted, especially, is in my top 3 of games this year, right behind SMG and Orange Box. If you don't like them, fine, I personally think Halo 3 is shit. Thats why it's called an "opinion". But obviously that 3-4% difference in aggregate reviews means the PS3 exclusives are vastly inferior

i havent really heard of most of these PS3 games...do they not have a lot of commercials? i remember seeing the commercial for that one game that looked kind of like Tomb Raider but with a dude but i dont see many PS3 commercials on tv

The gameplay is the same:

You jump around like a monkey and shoot shit in Halo 3.

You jump around like a monkey and shoot shit in Uncharted.

Except in Halo 3 there's not an infinity number of guys who come at you based on preset sequences.

And in Halo 3, the jumping puzzles don't get repetitive after five minutes.

Because you know, they don't ctrl+c the same sequence of tricks for the entire game.

fwiw Gamefly has 156 PS3 games available and 280 360 games available...i dont know how many are on multiple platforms, and i am well aware that the 360 has been out longer, but it seems as of right now the 360 has more games out than the PS3

It's kind of sad when the detractors own the console and still think it lacks. SandSanta and Golovko own PS3s. It's in their best interest to have the games on it not suck.

The main thing you'll notice in this thread is if you own a PS3 and a 360 you realize that there's a lot lacking with the PS3 and it's library. If you just own a PS3, you get real defensive about people saying it's game library sucks.

Call of Duty 4 on the 360 outsold its PlayStation 3 counterpart by 1.1 million units, and the 360 version of Assassin's Creed outsold the PS3 version by 603,000 units

Good god, that's awful numbers, I have to admit. I noticed I can't find a 360 Rock Band anywhere in 5 stores I looked at - and each one had troves of PS3 boxes of it.

This hearkens back to my point earlier in the thread - there are a surprising amount of people that own both consoles, yet 360 draws the multi console purchase for the reasons I cited. This is why I think Sony needs to get off their ass and 1) fix PSN 2) quality control 3rd party devs like EA that release shod ports and 3) add something extra. Maybe not achievements but come up with a perk to rise a lateral release's value. They can't survive on this software sales or attachment rate that is putrid.

Just my take on it, someone else I'm sure probably has a more informed take - go for it.

I really think things are starting to turn around when it comes to multiplatform releases. The new Burnout used PS3 as a lead platform and it turned out beautifully. From reading the webz, it seems that there are little-to-no differences between the two platforms.

I read somewhere else that this is going to be more of a trend going forward (leading with the PS3 and porting to 360/PC).

Either way I'm not too worried about it. I've got tons of games to play and no time to play them.
