Actually, I go to UNC for Law School, and watch the football team's practice from the law library on many occasions. It's quite annoying actually, seeing all that Carolina blue out the window. BUT, the point of my story is that a lot of the higher ups at UNC don't think there's anything wrong with paying players. Several of the school deans were sitting around talking the other day, saying the system *should* allow schools to pay the best players to come. Instead of scholarships, they want the players to get a paycheck, etc. They don't see that anything wrong has happened at UNC--and I find that to be a huge problem with their mindset.

See, it's a moral gray area. Everyone does it, so really is it a bad thing to do it yourself?

You just have to make sure you pay players who aren't jackasses/stupid. For instance, I've seen Word of God and know people who have taught kids who "went to school there." But they are smart enough to shut up when you pay them to play. Guys like Marvin Austin are too stupid to trust giving money and educational assistance to.
