^i respect mccain, but i think he's grasping for straws in this election. all of these moves are really just trick plays to make up any lost ground, and as we get closer to the election, the moves get a little dirtier. and honestly, i think this tactic is being forced on mccain. i don't think he feels comfortable going for these personal attacks (which i think is evident on how he didn't mention wright or ayers or even obama's middle name in the debate). buuut, he's still okay with letting his campaign do the dirty work. now, if mccain doesn't resort to these dirty attacks in the last debate or throughout the campaign on the stump, then i'll still have some of the respect (and admiration) for mccain that i had 8 years ago, and this will really all amount to nothing more than politics as usual.

palin is another story, i can't stand her, and her brash decisiveness scares me. choosing her as a vp given mccain's age makes me question if his motive to win the election is greater than his desire to put "country first"

i mean, the mccain camp has actually done a remarkable job of keeping her in the shadows. to the point where it probably has hurt her public image. she literally repeated her speech from the RNC for like a month before doing an actual interview. it was then when the wheels started to fall off for her popularity. and this is just pure speculation, but any "hillary" voter who still likes palin is probably a voter that can't be relied on and probably won't show up on election day.


V by no means am i counting him out. i'm just saying, that independent feminists are steadily showing more support for an obama/biden ticket every time a roe-v-wade conversation comes out of palin's mouth.

the hillary voter is part of a demographic who is mostly women, independent, and would vote democrat only if she was on the ticket

they quickly supported her in large numbers at first, but now they are hesitant. because she did struggle in those first public appearances .

its not a fluke that 83% of undecided voters believe mccains ready to lead, but hasnt done enough to gain their support .. yet

dont count mccain out by any means, there are so many factors that could change public opinion drastically and theres plenty of time

I went to the election 2008 page.

BTW, gallup had a poll today where 6% of respondents said they were less likely to vote for Obama because of his race vs. 9% who were more likely.
