Next time you see him you should come up with something equally as absurd and convince him that's how it's said (or done).
The best are people trying to pronounce "Cantillon"

I live in California, so you can't swing a cat without finding somewhere to buy Lost Abbey. I'll probably tour the brewery the next time I take a weekend trip to San Diego, cuz yum. I'm also close enough to tour Bruery; I just want to make sure they've got Chocolate Rain or Black Tuesday in the tasting room before I go.7/17/2012 11:42:02 PM |

yeah, i figured why not. i love sours and they are getting more and more popular and Cascade has nothing but good word said about them.
the shipping bumped the bottles to around $22 each which is steep at first glance, but in the grand scheme not really. I'd rather pay that and know it's coming than hope i get one more bottle at a store for $25.

i dont have a smart phone anymore after the great "storm king incident of 2012", and wont for a few more months, so most of what i'd be doing on it is moot at this point.
might be interesting.

i guess i just use it for a ticker of sorts. I'm pretty good about knowing if I have had a beer before, but some run together. then it's somewhat helpful when choosing a beer because you can get some quick thoughts on it without having to load BA and read long winded diatribes.
i don't post reviews or keep beer journals or anything 7/18/2012 4:03:43 PM |

I use it mostly to track which beers I've had as well as to track people nearby to see what's good on tap, I particularly follow our local newspaper's beer columnist as he gets the inside track to new beer releases and new taps around town.

looks good man.
picking up two growlers of hill farmstead (everett and double citra) and a 4 pack of heady topper today. my mule has arrived. they were filled at the event saturday though, so im hoping it's still ok. probably will be. at $10/growler with new HF glass, i'm ok with taking the risk. the HF growlers are basically black too, with tight swingtops that have been taped.
thinking about sneaking a HT into the dark knight rises tonight. lol.

120-minute used to be brewed once/year in a larger batch, since 6/2011 they've committed to smaller more frequent batches of 120-minutes and it's been consistently on the shelves here in CO since then.

A friend of mine had a 'bomber party' over the weekend with some non-beer-geeks, was interesting.
- Alpine Pure Hopiness - Dogfish Head Festina Peche - Cantillon Kriek 100% Lambic - Firestone Walker Sucaba '12 - Unibroue Grande Réserve 17 - Unibroue Trois Pistoles - Breckenridge Stranahan's Well Built ESB - Avery Maharaja - Dogfish Head Festina Peche - Midnight Sun Panty Peeler Tripel
I took the Alpine, Cantillon & Sucaba, probably my favorite of the grouping along with the Well Built ESB, but I already knew I was going to like it as it's the same recipe that was in the Breckenridge Twenty.

i think im going to have to go into a "drink your own damn beer" mode here for a while. got like 20 gal of homebrew to get into, and ~45 bottle "cellar" that i should probably make a dent on.
going to a beer advocate group tasting, and being pretty much the only person there not a bearded fat guy is kinda an omen.

I'm the same way, I have 3 batches of homebrew I'm sitting on and 140-bottle cellar I should make a dent on
Problem is more beer comes in this week. Picked up Avery Oud Floris and had it last night, absolutely GOLD "Avery Brewing Company Oud Floris Barrel-Aged Sour Brown Ale (6% ale aged in cabernet sauvignon barrels, 17% ale aged in bourbon barrels, 8% ale aged in rum barrels, and 8 % ale aged in chardonnay barrels)"
Oh yea, also picked up a '02 & '06 of JW Lees Harvest Ale English Barleywine, so adding 2 more years to the '07-'09 mini-vertical I already had....
....as well as the Crabtree Menage a Trois (60 case batch) "their Braggot was actually a blending of three different beers. The first was their Boxcar Brown ale aged with homegrown plums in Merlot barrels. The second was an Oatmeal Stout aged in whiskey barrels. And the third started out as a Northern Colorado Wildflower honey mead (18% ABV) mixed with a dash of malt to create a braggot and blended with Boxcar Brown and aged further in Merlot barrels. Crabtree added that he had hand picked the plums from his own trees in Greeley, Colorado."
Firestone Walker Double DBA & Avery The Beast coming out this week or next as well.
And I signed up to volunteer at GABF again this year! w00t!
