yea. thought we might see another goal off the rebound from the keeper there. This 2nd half has actually been pretty decent. neither team playing amazing or anything, but a lot of shots and fairly good pace.

^^^actually, if Nigeria beats Korea and Argentina beats Greece there would be a 3 way tie behind outright winners Argentina with N, G, and K all at 1-2. Goal differential is the next tiebreaker and right now Nigeria is -2, Greece is -1, and Korea is -1.

not really actually. Assuming Argentina doesn't lay down in their 3rd game and take it easy being on top of the group, Nigeria controls their own destiny. Argentina should beat Greece if they are playing anywhere near their form. If Arg beat Greece 1-0 and Nigeria only beat SK 1-0 then Greece and SK are -2 in Goal Diff. and Nigeria is -1 and they move on.

They have about as favorable of a chance as you can get for being 0-2-0 coming into your third game and still having a chance to advance. You have to rely on the best team in the group to win (and not just play for a tie) and then play to win yourselves.

That scenario is what makes the 4-1 loss to Argentina today sting so much more for SK and why you can't ever give up even if you are down a goal or two late in the game. If that was a 2-1 loss, they would still be +1 on the goal differential and Nigeria would have been forced to push for a multiple goal win to make it through on goal differential.
