Our season has been a dumpster fire since October and it still took you 36 matches. Well done.

Ribs still mad, I see.

I guess 0-3 against your main rival can do that to you.

Doesn't Sherwood have the best winning % of any Spurs manager ever? They haven't been that bad at all since AVB left. And can still match their best ever Prem point total. Let's not act like they were relegation fodder..

So, in your mind, Spurs had a good season and Sherwood is a good manager?

I'm just trying to figure out your troll angle here

it looks like they are prepared to pay his buyout so you'll have a transfer surplus post WC

From personal experience, the sooner you come to grips with the inevitability of it, the easier it is to handle when it actually happens.

[Edited on April 29, 2014 at 1:31 PM. Reason : Ronaldo, Bale, and Suarez together will be insane tho. Unstoppable attack.]

^^^^^ all I'm saying is Spurs season was almost as good as they have ever been. Hardly a dumpster fire... No angle or troll. I'd be disappointed based on the preseason expectations too..

Riiiiight. That's why deep into August you still thought there was a chance Bale would stay.

I'm not worried if he does or doesn't go, we've been over that. Suarez is sick and I'd love for him to stay but I also think we saw peak Suarez this season and it'd be nice to cash in appropriately instead of waiting for an inevitable suspension/injury and miss the opportunity. FSG has made transfer funds available before CL money and before any potential Suarez sale. There was always going to be enough for a couple of good players.

Nah our Aventador ran into some technical difficulties this year. Might have to downgrade to a more economical car for a few years but no real worries.

I loosely follow soccer and Tottenham is my team, this season absolutely was a dumpster fire. We got our shit pushed in by every team in the top portion of the table, missed the Champions League...again, and could have the potential to not play on Thursday Spursday.

I'd rather not play in the Europa next season.

We lose every match in the league after playing midweek, and with a new coach it's just easier to let him concentrate on England.

^^Not necessarily. If Liverpool wins this year, their "fans" will prob come out of the woodwork. I have a friend who was a United "fan" up until this season. He has since jumped ship and is now a Chelsea "fan". This is the same guy that, when Sir Alex Ferguson retired and I asked him his thoughts on it, he replied with "Who?"

^^ Also lol, neither United or Spurs want Europa. Hilarious. United can afford not being in Europa, can the Spurs?

Just send a B/youth team out there for Europa, unless there's rules against that. Save the A squad for England.

^ they do, still its a hassle and I would rather win the league/finish top 4 than the Europa. Man United has the option of fielding a largely young team in the competition however. Not sure what the options are at Spurs. I still don't want an unnecessary distraction for the team during a league campaign. Would rather get a top 4 spot.

Why even bother flying out to backwoods Russia on Thursday if you're going to put out a shit team. We aren't going to win the Europa, so it's just a giant waste of time.

The only reason I watch EPL at all is because several guys in our office are huge soccer fans and they were betting Bojangles Cajun Filet biscuits on the games and I wanted in on that action. A buddy of mine takes the shit waaaay too serious so I started pulling for Tottenham just to fuck with him. I've learned Arsenal fans are super sensitive. They kind of remind me of UNC fans.

We actual have a whole list of rules and a Commissioner. After I got in on the action, a bunch of other people joined in. We had 10 people this year

Initial buy in to our betting pool: dozen donuts
Win: Cajun Filet Biscuit
Blowout (3 or more goals): win +2 cinitwist
Clean Sheet: win +2 cinitwist
clean sheet blowout: cajun filet biscuit meal +2 cinitwist (I paid out quite a few of these this year, in fact we just started calling it the Tottenham)

For derby's we up the betting to lunch (for clean sheets/blowouts desert is added)

If you team wins the EPL, Champions League, etc winner actually has to bring in a cake (seems counterintuitive, but hey Tottenham is never going to be a threat so I just sit back and enjoy free cake).

We have a bunch of other rules. At the end of each season we vote on additional rules and variations to current rules

Van Gaal brings a lot of uncertainty. How will his ego clash with the prima donna's on our team like Rio? I really hope Rio isn't around anymore, he has been a bell end this whole year.

I think LVG is a great hire though. I hope he is given two years at least and he has the opportunity to mold a good team. I think Januzaj, Powell, and Lingard will be looking forward to Van Gaal. It also increase our chances of landing Kroos. I am at least excited to see a modern offense at Old Trafford. Even under Sir Alex in the last 2 years the football just hasn't been as good as it was when he had a good midfield in Scholes and Keane. After Ronaldo left the football was dire by United standards (only the results were there).

Wigan want him, we would be stupid to let him. He is 20, time to give him a shot at the top. I also wouldn't be surprised if Van Gaal did give these kids a chance.

Don't think United is in a position to count on young players to get them through next season. In theory, I agree with you that's how it should be but I think judging from last season's transfers and the rumored upcoming transfers, they'll be buying big to get them through the down period.

I agree and United do need some big signings in midfield. Kroos is perfect but someone like him. However the kids could be used in the rotation. I would certainly be willing to give Powell more of a chance than Cleverley at this point. Any good finds from the academy like Januzaj will only help.

What a day in the championship today.

Birmingham scored a last minute to stay up.
Reading fans thought their team made the playoffs and started invading the pitch in celebration but then Uloa scored for Brighton in the 92nd minute to get Brighton to the playoffs over Reading.
