Pass. That guy's points are a result of a ridiculously high usage and shitty opponents. Not a particularly great shooter and has a career assist to turnover ratio of 4.3:3.6. Seems more like a guy who just had a green light to shoot from his dad and took advantage of it. He definitely didn't help Detroit win games.

^^^Do you mean the same people that wanted Keatts' assistants fired? Because then your statement sorta makes sense. Otherwise, it's a completely reasonable position to have wanted Keatts fired and then also be mad that his recruits are still decommitting after we kept him. I mean, his record on keeping players/recruits on the team is part (albeit a small part) of the reason I wanted him fired.

Dillingham and Phillips decommitting aren't why I wanted him fired, but them not coming basically proves why giving a coach a lame-duck year is a complete waste of time.

Eh, this is being blown way out of proportion by state fans. Kids decommit all the time when the guy who recruited then is fired/moves schools. I'd have been more surprised if all the kids ended up coming

I read through a few Utah message boards, there were a few theories that came up, most of which boil down to:

- he became unhappy with playing time and did not buy into Coach Smith’s culture.
- he wanted more playing time but didn't seem to deserve it based on on-court work
- dismissive and rude/vocal to coaching staff/teammates on court

Which is truthfully a lot of the kind of stuff that gets said about guys who leave the team in a bad light anyways, and none of it is an-and-of-itself a violation of team rules unless he just stopped showing up to meetings or something. I don't watch enough CBB to ever even hope to watch a Utah game, so I can't speak for any of it firsthand. Who knows, maybe we've addressed it? Maybe it's all fake anyways
