been drinking all day, so im going to participate in another forums challenge.

to play all 9 or so of the $1-$3 huge MTT's on poker stars for the night. everyone in the contest puts like 20 into a kitty, and the best overall finisher takes the whole pot. point system devised for ITM finishes, final table spots, and bonuses.

that and i just bubbled a 200+ player 30+3 plo mtt

Really pissed off, playing in a 65$ sng, 4 people left, two with around 4000, two with 2000 (i'm one of the lower). One of the bigger stacks has been raising with shit and catching it all night, I get JJ as dealer, big stack raises 600, I all in.. she calls, with K7. And of course, on the flop, a king. That pisses me off so much... god.

if anyone was interested how the micro buy-in mtt challenge went,

8 - NLHE 213/1960 10.9%
9 - NLHE 287/2195 13.1%
9:30 - Stud 49/430 11.4%
9:45 - NLHE 486/1631 29.8%
10 - NLHE 234/1109 21.1%
10:15- NLHE 134/978 14.1%
10:30- NLHE 288/920 (31.3%)
10:45- NLHE 770/1114 bleh
11 - NLHE 24/1027 2.3% ITM

only one cash. =/

looks like i got a decent chance of winning the challenge, no one went really really deep in any of the tournaments. (i may spike a win on some very good players off weeks)

the point system was based on your finish in relation to the field, with bonus for in the money and final table placements. the points started at 30% of the field remaining, and increase the lower the % gets.

it was pretty fun, we should try and get something like that together for this forum, but it was intense 8 tabling tournaments (including a stud one) on my g/f's single monitor. ahah

winner take all.

apparently, stars does a slew of $1-$3 tournaments on either fridays or sundays, once a week.

but my mtt history continues, im king bubble boy

Woo, just won a 5$ NL HE multi table on absolute, had like 130 people or so, at the final table one guy had about 6x the average stack, I was right below average... ended up going heads up having 40k against his 140k and took him out, he was a chump :-P I know it was a small prize (170$) but it was a good win for me.

its down to 25/172, top 18 cash...

i've been having the worst run online over the past week...somehow got a free $20 after I had thought I cancelled my account, got up to $42 at the .50/1 tables, and now I'm all the way down to $12. You just wouldn't believe some of the stuff people are calling preflop raises with, and getting lucky.

^thats the nature of the game.

well im out, 18th

got into a sticky situation where i committed a big portion of my stack with a pfr and got reraised all in by the button,

but since i was getting >2:1 on the call, and only put him on AAxx, i figured i kinda had to call with AQJx double suited.

in reality he had me killed with AcJcAdJh so i was a little less than 3:1,

so i guess not a bad call here considering the stack positions in trying to make final table

right?

SYa know, i think pokerroom sometimes likes to reward horrible players.

In $5 SnG a few min ago... a guy constantly min raised with any paint hand. Showed K4 J9 and such more than other painted hands. His play was obvious after the flop. If he hit, he bet the minimum. If you raised, and he reraised the minimum, he had top pair.

So I'm in BB with J5 of clubs and call his PF min raise, as do 2 of the other 3 players at the table (to $200), so the pot is $800

Flop 5 5 K

SB checks, I lead out for $400, other guy calls as does to min raiser. SB folds

Turn J

Ding ding! Here's my double up! So i check, knowing someone will bet, and the Other guy leads out for $700. Min Raiser makes it $1400. I figure him for KJ and am salavating as I push all in (around 3k). Other guy folds, and Min raiser calls, but with AK off...the 1st time I saw him just call with top pair. I have him covered by ~150.

River K

At which point the other guy says "I folded KQ"

Ouch, my ass.

They are single table games tounrament style.

Start with a full table or half (10/5 players on pokerroom) and with a set amount of chips. Full table pays top 3, half table pays top 2.

goodbye online poker

down $100, ($120 if you count that random $20 I got), and I would say $90 was on bullshit luck, $30 was on bad play on my part

not my style of gaming

I would rather have real life games of $10-$20 buy in and on average come out ahead

good luck to all you online players, I don't know how you pull a steady profit after the shit I've seen online.

and I'll end on the quote I've said several times throughout this thread, and I'll even direct it at myself since I'm semi-bitching

"welcome to online poker"

missed out on a 96 dollar pot with a nutflush and gutshot straight draw but turned the straight and 77 apparently won because 7 high straights beat 5 highs. and no pretty blue diamond on teh river : (

Turner, when are you coming into town? I think I heard the Monday of Thanksgiving. We have a lot of gin to play, in between sessions at POKER.

I've been suspended from t-dub for awhile so I've forgotten all my stories. Although, in four nights last week, I dealt eight quads with at least one every night. I also dealt a hearts royal flush about a month and a half ago, the only royal flush suit that I haven't had myself.

He then told me he made good calls the whole way, and being BB constitutes call all the preflop raises with any hand.

^

Why do you bitch about their play? Wait till they do it again and take their ass down.

For all he knew you could have been on AK and not even paired up. That's pretty common that people don't dump AK even when they don't pair.

^ I didn't bitch, merely said it was a bad call which he tried to justify by saying he already had 1$ invested in the pot. He also said he thought I had aces both preflop, and after the turn but he wanted to chase And yeah, I would've taken more off him later but he bought out immediatly after.
