I don't post on this site anymore. I shit on Mo all the time in various venues on and off the Internet.

The fact that a coach was able to come in and win a Cup with Mo's team in a season and a half and then Mo comes back in and steers that coach's squad and that coach's system to an ECF before limply falling out of the playoffs ever since tells me all I need to know.

Not to mention that an 8 year old knows that Cam Ward sucks at back to backs and yet we continue to let him screw them up.

I'm lookin at you Paul Maurice.

This team, this year, I think had a decent mix of talent and character guys... but once again under Coach Mo, our powerplay is subpar and the team rarely comes out ready to play.

Skinner / Cole / Ward all had amazing seasons and Staal had a good one as well...

I'm gonna go to bed now. I'll be depressed about it for a day or two... but there's next season. And maybe we'll get lucky and draft another Skinner-esque mid rounder that can come directly onto this team and score 30 goals. Maybe we'll make a big splash in the UFA market (doubtful, but maybe). Hopefully Karmanos can find some investors that want to open the purse strings a little bit instead of always working on a self-imposed budget.

And maybe... just maybe... Paul Maurice will be fired and we'll go out of the organization for a change so that we can have some accountability.

This season had a ton of great adventures. From Finland to the All Star Game to the excitement all the way down to the very bitter and hard-to-swallow end... but hey...

It's hockey.
