I wish there was a rule that no bowl game can host 2 teams from the same conference...kind of like the first round of MLB playoffs. Most of the non-BCS bowls guarantee it since they usually have 2 different conferences with tie-ins, so why shouldn't the BCS hold the same standard? 12/1/2011 11:59:00 PM |

Personally, I'm hoping UGA beats LSU while Houston wins. Would love seeing the lone undefeated team still not make the title game 12/2/2011 7:22:45 AM |

I hope LSU loses by one or two points on a fluke last second play. I doubt the voters would drop them below VT so we'd either get Stanford/Bama or LSU/Bama in the title game.
None of those teams will have won their conference championships.
I just want to see the sports pundit shitstorm that would follow. How many heads would explode? 12/2/2011 9:27:56 AM |

Even if LSU loses, they still deserve to be in the Championship game and probably will still have the computer numbers. They beat Alabama, Oregon, and Arkansas. No other team has a resume that impressive, even if they lose to Georgia.
It's going to be Bama-LSU. I'd bet my 401k on it. 12/2/2011 12:12:10 PM |

Wow, for some reason I temporarily forgot about OSU. I guess the most interesting scenario would be OSU losing and LSU losing close.
Which means what we'll get is LSU beating Georgia soundly, OSU squeaking by Oklahoma, and Nick Saban sitting around chuckling as his players get an extra week of rest before playing LSU in the National Title game. 12/2/2011 1:21:00 PM |

No professional sports league lets two teams from the same conference play each other for the championship, and MLB keeps teams from the same division from playing in the first round of the playoffs. Why shouldn't it happen here?
I also wish there was a rule that you had to win your conference in order to play for the national championship. I think its ridiculous that Alabama gets a free pass for being idle this week.12/2/2011 1:33:47 PM |

You know, I would love for UCLA to actually pull out a win here. I know they don't have a prayer but I can still hope.
I just want to see how the pundits react to a 7-6 team in a BCS bowl. I don't think either the ACC or the Big East has managed to put in a team that's 1 win above .500, and we've put some abysmal teams into BCS bowls.
/I think I have an unhealthy desire to see Skip Bayless or Stephen A Smith's head explode on national television. //Me and Charles Barkley. 12/2/2011 8:55:48 PM |

If UGA were to win Saturday, the National Championship game would be between LSU & Ok State (if they beat OU). There is a rule that no conference can have more than two teams in BCS games, so Bama would be out. VT (provided they beat CU) and Stanford are other options if Ok State loses. I will be rooting for UGA tomorrow, not just because I hate the idea of another "Game Of Field Goals" rematch, but also because I like to see BCS chaos. Plus I'd like to see Saban and the rest of the SEC whining. 12/2/2011 10:04:36 PM |

^^ ESPN has been playing up for weeks that there's a loophole in the BCS that would let three SEC teams in under that scenario, Bama vs LSU in the NC and Georgia in the Sugar Bowl 12/2/2011 10:23:24 PM |

yeah, back when the NC game was one of the actual bowl games you couldnt have 3. But now that you have the 4 main bowls, and then an additional game that is the NC game apparently its different.
