Giroud is an average player (who needs to be upgrade on) and Suarez is AMAZING but NBC is being unfair. Suarez goal record against rest of top four is just as bad as Giroud...

Wazza you're a real POS.

But anyway, OF COURSE it was garbage ass Victor Moses whiffing at the end. Aimorris mentioned that Rogers would regret not buyingat Janu ary and the dregs he had on the bench (not to mention the back 4) proved that out.

They were never realistically going to catch MC in GD which makes me question the tactics a bit. But pools last two games show the victory of counterattack over attack in the PL, I guess.

You can't out score teams every week in this league. I feel bad for Gerrard but it was always going to be a tall task to win with that squad. They better (and I'm sure they will) spend big this summer to be able to have a squad to compete while playing two games a week in the fall. Surely they have the thinnest squad quality of any top five to six without spending.

Clearly they need some depth. Chasing the game against Chelsea, they brought on Aspas. Pushing for goals yesterday, they brought on Moses. Meanwhile, City has Silva, Negredo, Jovetic, Fernandinho on the bench. Chelsea has players like Schurrle and Willian. Hell, even United has Chicharito. But when you say "spend big," I don't think we'll see a ridiculous number. Even with 4 or 5 solid additions, Liverpool isn't getting out of the group stage. And if those 4 or 5 demand more minutes and disrupt chemistry than it's right back out of the top 4.

The "collapse" (losing to Chelsea and drawing away to Palace are not terrible on their own) being painted at some huge failure is a bit unfair. They've only lost one in the last 17 or 18 games. And that's why I never celebrated a title and always thought City would come around in the end. I won't begrudge wazza though, as I'd be doing the same thing. Enjoy it.

Depth was an issue no doubt but Rodgers also showed his inexperience here as well. Maybe he learns from it. Also yes I quiet enjoyed last night, it was a good day but that only makes this horrible season slightly more bearable (like it did for you guys when Aguero scored 2 years ago), pretty sure all of Liverpool was laughing their tits off that day.

lol "quietly" posting pictures and gifs on Thewolfweb.com

eh, I see people blaming Rodgers. I guess he can bring on Agger but the defenders on the field just switched off. Not BR's fault nobody closed down shooters and lost their marks. For the Chelsea game, they completely dominated and were only undone by a freak slip by Gerrard. Hardly the result of tactics.

^ Yes nym410 I misspelled quite.

Also what a performance from Wilson! I have been looking forward to seeing this kid since September. With Chicha almost certainly gone and RVP getting old I really hope Wilson gets a few chances next year. He is very clinical and I am excited to see what he can do at the next level. Wilson has had a better performance in the academy than Macheda, hopefully is better than him too.

Tom Lawrence could be a good utility player. I am more excited for Nick Powell than Lawrence. Although would love for Lawrence to prove what he can do. Certainly deserves more chances than Cleverley.

United academy players should be licking their chops at Van Gaal managing them. Wilson, Januzaj, Powell, Janko, Periera, Vermijl, Lingard, and McNair have big potential. All of them should be getting a chance over the players this year. Its time for a new generation of hungry players, the old have had their chance and glory.

Warren Joyce is one of the best academy coaches in the premiership. Van Gaal should work well with him. Done an incredible job with the kids.

"So let the supporters of other clubs have their fun. Arsenal may even win a trophy but will still speculate on what Arsene Wenger will spend and whether the next league campaign will fizzle out thanks to injuries -- like all of the others -- and whether getting eliminated from Europe at the first knockout stage every year can actually be called "competing" or whether it's just "turning up."

Let Everton forget the three defeats that caused their Champions League bid to collapse. Let them play Oasis records when they are losing to Manchester City and then squeal like stuck pigs if someone reminds them of Rafa Benitez's "small club" quote.

Let Spurs have rubbish videos on their official social media pages and forget they spent 100 million pounds to finish this season worse off than last. Let Chelsea fall for Jose Mourinho's schtick that they are in transition. Let Manchester United add another Steven Gerrard song to their already exhaustive repertoire, forget their decaying squad and absolutely wretched season and mythologise their latest wunderkind -- what happened to the unpronounceable one?

You can even let Manchester City pretend that their title success amounts to more than winning the Tour de France on a Harley-Davidson, or convince themselves that UEFA will simply grow tired of slapping their wrists.

In the end, none of it matters much. People have lost sleep, and not a little dignity, because Liverpool are back. That's exactly as it should be, and on Saturday night/Sunday morning they will be losing even more. "

Really cool that NBC is broadcasting all the matches on their networks. Wish for their sake there was more on the line today. They've done a tremendous job with the PL this year.

Title race pretty much settled, Champions League spots set, Relegation battle over.

Nothing will ever touch that Man City title for Champion's Sunday excitement.

I still think that's the equivalent to hitting a grand slam to walk off the World Series or hitting two hail marys in football to win the Super Bowl. I hate them but I'll always remember when that happened. It's why sports are so awesome.
