He lasted until the 5th round in your league?

I was planning on taking him 4th round, but someone took him early in the 3rd in my league.

All I have for running backs due to bye weeks is Kevin Jones (RB, Det) or Derrick Ward (RB, NYG). This is for week 10. Det. is playing @Arizona and NYG are playing Dallas. Suggestions?

Should I think twice about this drop - Owen Daniels for LJ Smith. I have bye week issues.

I don't want to drop anyone else. Berrian and Derrick Ward are my most droppable players, but I am in a deep league and decent pickups are rare. With my current lineup, I don't plan on ever playing Berrian or Ward for reasons other than injury.

20 point lead squandered away because:
a.) The Ravens' O SUCKS and the Pitt D put up 20+ points
b.) Big Ben decided to give everyone TD's EXCEPT Hines Ward

So my question for the week:
Pick 2:
LT vs. Indy
Portis vs. Philly
SJ vs. NO (suppose to be 100%)

I think Portis vs Philly. The Philly defense doesn't look that great this year and Portis is quietly having a solid year.

The other is a coin flip but probably has to be LT. Even though it may be another tough game but you can't sit LT. He may break out with a crazy game and you'll be pissed you didn't start him.

Trade offer -

I get: Brady & Houshmandzadeh
I give: Romo & Addai

current RB: Edge, DeShaun, Ryan Grant, Betts, Keith
current WR: Cotchery, Reggie Brown, Kevin Walter, Hilliard, Javon Walker

we start 2 RB, 3 WR, and 1 flex

I think I like this trade. NE and CIN schedules look a lot better down the stretch than DAL and IND...plus I've got Edge as my other #1 RB who's got a great schedule to cover for losing Addai

[Edited on November 6, 2007 at 12:16 PM. Reason : I have Campbell to fill in for Brady's bye this week]

I like it for you. Housh has been the most consistent WR all year. Hell he has a TD in every game. Walker is out and Walter's numbers will go down once Johnson comes back. Romo has been pretty good minus the Buffalo game.

I think its an OK deal. Do you really want to have to rely on Deshaun Foster and the pathetic Carolina Panthers Offense to get you through the rest of the season?

Possible trades

Give up: Chad Johnson and Jason witten and possibly someone else
Get: Brian Westbrook

Give up:McNabb
Get: Jesse Chatman (or maybe GB current RB) and Larry Fitz

what would be a reasonable trade offer to try to get marques colston?

guy w/larry johnson has him so i figured he'd want a RB

offered:
jesse chatman
calvin johnson

for:
marques colston
warrick dunn

his other rb's are:
selvin young
deshaun foster

his other wr's are:
plaxico burress
chad johnson
muhsin mohammad
koren robinson
deion branch

haven't heard back from the guy yet, but does that sound like a decent trade? i basically need to win out to make the playoffs and i'm hoping to be carried by brees/bush/colston

My team is pretty much garbage right now need some big changes. I had JP Losman as a backup and dropped his ass. Trying to pick him back up off waivers but wont find out till wednesday morning.

QB
D McNabb A QB

RB - basically a bunch of back-ups and bums
S Young A RB
T Jones A RB
F Gore RS RB
L Betts RS RB
R Williams RS RB

WR
C Johnson A WR
R Brown A WR
J Galloway RS WR
K Robinson RS WR
L Coles RS WR
M Furrey WR

TE
J Witten A TE
K Winslow A RB-WR-TE

K
M Stover A K

Def - which is pretty much a revolving door depending on the matchups
D Cardinals A DST

I like your deal of getting rid of Chad Johnson and Jason Witten for Brian Westbrook. See if you can get a #2 or #3 receiver back from him as well and i think you would benefit. You could really use the upgrade at RB. Also if you are in a keeper league, you are a viable keeper in Westbrook.

^not in a keeper league

I figured that might be enough to pull westbrook away from him but I may have to throw someone cheap in there too.

OK...big match-up this week. Currently tied for first.

QB:

Romo @ Giants
Palmer @ Baltimore

RB, Pick 2:

Marshawn Lynch @ Miami
LenDale White vs. Jax
Brandon Jacobs vs. Cowboys
Jamal Lewis @ Pitt (I'm probably not going to start him given Pitt's success against the run)

WR, Pick 2:

Santana Moss vs. Philly
Anquan Boldin vs. Detroit
Bernard Berrian @ Oakland

This thread has been pretty good in helping to avoid overthinking match-ups and the like. Nicely done, sirs.

Who should I ask for in a trade: Palmer or Roethlisberger? The guy has to sit one of the two every week because he has Manning at QB and one of the two as his OP.

"Fox 31 out of Denver is reporting that Larry Johnson will miss the rest of the season with a broken foot. The Chiefs aren't confirming this as of Tuesday night.

We'll see what the team learns on Johnson Wednesday, though this much is known - LJ isn't expected to play this week against Denver, at minimum, which means Priest Holmes and Kolby Smith get a major spike in value. "

I almost think Kolby Smith has more upside...Priest is old...Smith had injury issues in college but when healthy he had some pretty impressive YPC numbers...dunno...glad I have Dwayne Bowe!

btw Yahoo already has it haha

Who should I play this week

McNabb vs The skins

Losman vs The phins

also Im real tempted to trade McNabb away to help out my shittastic WR and RB core and take a flier on Losman having a strong second half. Any thoughts on this?

McNabb is ALWAYS a better play than Losman. I dont care if Buffalo has won 2 or 3 in a row, they are still Buffalo.

if you really want to trade McNabb, who could you get for him?

the Skins rank 18th out of 32 in pass defense

the dolphins are 6th

looking at Larry Fitz and maybe Jesse Chatman or Green Bays RB.

Just so tired of Mcnabb being mediocre at best. I might be able to trade for Eli Manning. Maybe Thomas Jones for him, since the guy that has Manning just lost Larry Johnson.

I'm taking a flyer on Losman as well thanks to my brilliant QB plays this season of Leinhart and Garrard

and yeah V0LC0M, "they are still Buffalo", but they are playing Miami...who cares about their pass defense rating...Losman will probably rush for 2 TDs this week...its usually a good bet to play someone against a team with an 0-8 record...although this could be their 1st win of the year...still Lee Evans is starting to ball out like he did in the 2nd half of last season

Having a tough time deciding which three out of my RB group to start this week:

LT
Barber III
Portis
Lynch

I am leaning towards benching Portis even though he had a huge game last week, it was against the horrid Jets and overall he has been inconsistent to shitty this year.

What do you think??
