anyone else disturbed by the increase in diving by the national team?

Yeah, as soon as that happened I was bothered. It's very disappointing that a game's outcome can be heavily influenced by a dive and subsequent unwarranted red card. (The replays clearly looked like there was no contact, but he may have lightly clipped him. If that is the case, then it would be a good call, but I don't think it was.)

I think it's really unclear how we do finish this game without that card. I mean, the Jones goal came off a deflection, so you wonder if we could have scored without the benefit of mistakes.

Im disturbed by the diving everywhere, but no im not disturbed by our team finally getting on the bandwagon and diving like the rest of the world. I'm not interested in being the only team that never gets calls because we want to take some sort of moral high road. Until the refs stop calling it, there is no reason to stop doing it.

that's a tough one for the ref. jones embellished like crazy, but the dude was probably the last man and he definitely made contact, knee to foot. diving is lame though, and outside of dempsey and jones now, i'm glad our team rarely does it.

Yeah, that U-17 team has some serious skill, especially attacking. Looks like we might also have our next phenom goalie. Kid was crazy good when called on.

I hate the diving as much as anyone, I wish it would go away and I'd be in favor of handing out post game suspensions for anyone who blatantly dives. Hell, put two referees on the field so they can see more of what is going on. Until that happens and they stop basically encouraging it, I don't see a reason why the U.S. should play at a disadvantage because we don't dive.

I don't know if its just a reaction to haters over the years or what but I've become like the biggest Freddy Adu cheerleader on the planet. Props to Bob for giving him an opportunity and to Adu for taking advantage. A good Freddy Adu is fucking huge for US Soccer.

It was nice to see Adu get in there and run at people. I think he can find a niche coming in as a substitute and pumping some energy into the game. He ran the whole time, tracked back (read: fouled), and played some nice balls. Still, he also gave the ball away in some bad spots, which could get a team burned against better competition. Donovan needs to start over Kljestan on Saturday. We don't need an emo kid on the field. I'd also like to see Edu get in there for Bradley, who has looked uncharacteristically slow and indecisive with the ball.
