I am really starting to despise this game because of gettintg spawn killed repeatedly, and the maps are a bit stale already with the same strategy and campers in the same spot every game.

yea thats for serious.. occasionally i'll play a map and the big firefight will wind up in a different place, but that happens few and far between. however, i'll continue to play i'm sure... nothing else holding my attention at the moment

I have found that spawn killing is not nearly as bad as CoD4 except for getting killed 4 times in a row by someone's AC-130 or chopper cause i keep spawning outside. On the other hand I agree about the redundant "strategy" part being worse. Like on the quarry map I think for the entire match consisted of the SAS guys running up the ramp and the Militia peeps trying to control that allyway/warehouse or on Estate the russians spent the entire time camping the house. At least in overgrown their was Grandma's house, the barn, and the bridges.

I really appreciated overgrown, not too many places for people to 'camp' in corners but overall an ok sniping map.

I have been playing on PC for a while now. Was at blockbuster with the wife and saw this for PS3 so I rented it to see how much of a difference there was between PC and PS3. OMG, how do you guys play this with a controller. It was horrible. I felt like I did not have any control over aiming the gun. Even running was difficult. I think I will stay with the PC until they offer mouse and keyboard support for the PS3.

it makes it a little more challenging when you have to hold aim with the controller vs. just pointing and clicking with a mouse (not sure if this is what you do, but Quake III Arena on the PC was like that)

I guess thats my problem, I have been playing FPS games on PC since the mid 90s begining with counter-strike. So I am use to pointing and clicking. I go from getting a nuke about every 3 games on PC to playing with my death streak perk the whole game on PS3

keep in mind that the people on the PS3 have been using these controls since COD4 and have adjusted to them. It took me a while to adjust to a PS3 controller, but I prefer it now.

I have no problem with shotguns in general. I think you are referring to the grossly overpowered unbalanced 1887's, especially when used Akimbo style.

I have a problem with 1887s, but the rest of the shotguns I don't mind. the range of the 1887's is absolutely ludicrous still. Either they need to get rid of the pattern on the shotgun and claim it is shooting slugs, or they need to reduce the range to that of all the other short barreled shotguns in the game.

and Akimbo shotguns (especially the ones with 200-yard blind fire pinpoint accuracy) make the game almost unbearable sometimes

i dont think i have EVER had the horrible shotgun issues that many of you have mentioned

while i've definitely been killed by akimbo shotguns, its always been from relatively close range (ie 50 feet or less)...i've also tried equipping certain shotguns and shooting from a distance and i always miss...i dunno
