I'm not the only person in my family who is bipolar: my mother is, too.

Until VERY recently (like, the past 6 weeks), she's refused to take care of herself. A couple years back, she had a fucking stroke, and changed absolutely nothing in her life So naturally, for her, any illness is harder on her, whether it's the flu, or bipolar.

Since her bipolar has always been pretty bad, she assumes mine is, and tries to blame EVERY SINGLE negative behavior of mine on the bipolar. Grumpy after a hellish shift at work? "I keep telling you...you need to be taking your meds!" Stressing because I'm broke? "If you would just take your meds for your bipolar, you'd feel better" Getting a poor grade in a class because I'm a pro at procrastination? "If you'd control your bipolar better, it wouldn't affect your grades so much"

It's maddening, but of course, if I say something to her (like I did today), I'm in denial
