Hmm no change in weight this week, but someone told me I looked thinner than I did the last time they saw me 5 days ago.
I'm definitely noticing that I'm not nearly as hungry now that I cut out carbs. 7/14/2010 11:45:40 PM |

I so regret not taking photos last fall...
Finally closing in on 170 myself. I was 171.5 this morning, down from 193 last October. I am down to about 13-14% body fat now, I didn't measure when I started but my guesses put me at least 6-8% higher than that.
I've pretty much standardized my diet during the week. Nutritional shake for breakfast, protein bar or other protein heavy snack around 10:30am, usually work out, then lunch of a big pile of spinach + carrots + lean chicken breast. Dinner tends to vary daily but is usually fairly healthy too. 7/15/2010 7:24:05 AM |

That's good stuff but I'm a tuna snob. I don't like the cans or pouches. For me it has to be a high quality tuna steak...raw or cooked, either way7/15/2010 9:58:26 AM |

Fuck...Aunt Becky would get it so bad. I hate they canceled that show about 4 years ago where her sister died and she took over like 8 million kids in the household (I believe Zac Effron was on the show). She perfectly fits into my older women fetish.

You're also not in great shape. And you seem to be regressing in a challenge that you started...all the while you're hounding people who are actually making improvements.

^^are you peeing clear? if you're not peeing clear nearly all the time, you're eating too much junk and/or not enough water. You could also try eliminating more carbs and you may feel/see a reduction in a "bloated" appearance. I _try_ to target my high carb intakes right around workouts and then eat more fatty meals at other times of the day. I feel this helps reduce the bloated belly look and you lose a fair bit of water weight as you lose glycogen.
eliminate carbs for a week but keep calories the same...most people can lose almost 10lbs in that first week if they truly stick with the diet. Albeit not accelerated "fat loss" but overall weight loss and a slimmer appearance. Great motivational tool to get people started or to sell them on a fad weight loss diet. I find it much easier to incorporate a lifestyle of eating carbs when I workout and fewer carbs when I don't work out. Calories are also usually doubled on days I lift vs days I rest. 7/15/2010 11:22:55 AM |

yes my ribs.
I wanted to make a thread on measurements due to things like this.
I am 40-31-40. no 36-24-36-5'2".
hell my thigh is 24" and it's not jiggly fat either.
I hate being so big. But most people can't tell. They all think that I am super tiny since I am proportional. 7/15/2010 11:36:56 PM |

Hit the gym 4 days in a row, figure I'll take today off. Plus I'm tired, so maybe I'll take a nap and catch up on sleep to help my body rebuild. Likely won't go on Saturday, but will try to make it out there on Sunday provided the buses aren't fucktarded. 7/16/2010 9:27:15 AM |

I was really bad yesterday evening
I got there and was like, "fuck it" and had 3 martinis, pecan encrusted mahi mahi with maple butter, and granny smith apple cobbler... not to mention we got 2 free appetizers because we had to wait for our reserved table (and the funny thing is, we weren't even upset, we just hung out at the bar then the manager was like "order some appetizers on the house!" so we were all "ok!").
I was at 1,000 cals before dinner so I'm sure I was at/around 2,500 by the time we left
but I don't regret it.. that was a great stress reliever and everything was delish 7/16/2010 9:37:07 AM |
TKE-Teg All American 43410 Posts user info edit post |
^how fruity were those martinis? I wouldn't be surprised if those were 250-300cal each.
Noticed some strength gains in pecs, biceps and triceps last night at the gym. They'd stagnated a little bit for a few weeks so I was happy to see improvements again!
