how is that done? take 2 identical pictures, 1 with the computer absent, and 1 with the computer that has a blue-screen background, and then do the weatherman effect on it in photoshop?

its not really called that in photoshop, i just dont know the name of what the replacing of the blue screen with something else is called

couldn't you just move the laptop, take a big picture of the general area (wider than the shot you need)

then take the same picture again with the computer in its spot

then go into photoshop, select the computer monitor area on the 2nd pic, overlay the 1st pic and use the same selection and copy and part of the image selected to a new background image file?

redid mine for Fedora Core 5.. currently using xfce runnin' nautilus and gnome-panel.. so basically a gnome ui with the xfce4-panel.. could have just run xfce4-panel under gnome ofcourse, but yeah..
