What about the other 2 dunks he missed?? And the times he got stripped and blocked??

I'm not trying to troll you....but Cedric isn't automatic. He gets the ball too far from the basket a majority of the time (he still sucks at getting position), then he tries to the put the ball on the floor...so if he doesn't get it stripped from as he tries to dribble closer to the basket, he gives the opposing team time to play help defense and throw his shit out of bounds.

In our situation tonight...we should have posted Gavin and Bennerman up more. I feel like they tried, but our guys look to the post and if there is any pressure they turn it around and toss it back to the high post. Herb needs to tell them not to turn away from throwing it to the post as much.

SO WHAT? The point is that simmons STILL gives us a higher probability of scoring compared to having stone cold players chuck up 3s that amount to an automatic turnover since we are getting owned on the boards.

A missed outside shot is a much more damaging play than a missed inside shot. You have to go with the plays that give you the highest probability of success while minimizing the downside.

So I'm sitting here thinking about why we struggled so much in the 2nd part of the 2nd half tonight...

And it's obvious. Our team was rattled when they found out that UVA still had timeouts left after the 12:00 mark. They didn't know how to handle it.
