im not a supporter though of yelling about the kid's dad being in rehab...a lot of stuff thats being said towards opposing teams has gotten kinda dumb and isnt even really funny, and it is classless (not to say college students are expected to be), but...i'm all for crackin on players and stuff, but theres still a line to be drawn....

Yeah I know what you mean. I didnt yell "Darryl" at him, and I didnt yell shit about being a crack head. I felt kinda bad about that one, but I did feel that it was necessary to point out that Maryland is just as "classless" as NC State to that one douche bag.


On a lighter note, one guy talked shit to us the whole game and actually gave us the thumbs up when the game was over. This is a far cry from the fan that wanted to fight us after they beat us my freshman year. That was a nice change of pace for MD fans. There was another guy that kept turning around and laughing at our comments and talking junk back, but totally got along with everyone. Pretty cool if you ask me...these must have been rare breed of MD fans we dealt with today.

For my money, there is nothing better in the world of sports than a heavy shit-talking zone (such as a student section behind the opposing bench) that is up against good-humored opposing/visiting fans. I never had more fun heckling than the time we played St. Aug's and the dudes just in front of us on the other side of the boards gave it right back to us for the entire game, and then high fives all around at the end.
