you're going to have to get programs called SOPcast, pplive, ppstream and TVants. They are all from china/serbia etc and god knows what they put on your computer. I use them sometimes for EPL games but if the server is full or they decide to show gameshows instead then you are out of luck.

Essentially, it works brilliantly when it works but it is frustrating when it doesn't.

To get the streams from bbc5 radio and all of the orgasmic commentary by Martin Tyler with it, you'll have to go to a website that makes it look like you're logging into a UK proxy server. I've done it once or twice but thats because a nerd friend of mine set it up for me and i have no idea how to do it. BBC wont stream games to anywhere outside the UK.

Or, you can get TiVo and stay away from TV/online news until you get home...then...6 hours of footbally

I remember in World Cup 2002, ABC rebroadcasted some of the games later that night, at like 9 or 10. That might have just been because the games were originally broadcasted at like 2am though.

I'm really glad I get to watch from here in Ireland. At this one bar here in Gallway, if you guess the time and team of the first goal of any game, you get a free pitcher of beer.

oh yeah, and its all about Australia over here, tho they've got a tough draw w/ Brazil and Japan. I did buy a pretty badass old Hibernian goalie jersey for 5 euros (like 6-7 bucks american) in a thrift store today

I havent read through this entire thread to see if it has been addressed but does anyone know if the IMAX theatre will be showing the final this year? I had a blast watching the 02 final at IMAX and would imagine that this year would be more fun since it wont be at the crack of dawn.

i know they were saying he was going to be back more than likely but i wonder if he'll be able to get back on the field in good enough shape for it to make a difference. My guess is England will need to get out of the first phase and then he'll be able to give them a tremendous help

Toni, Gilardino, Zambrotta, Nesta, Buffon, Inzaghi...be prepared for the Italians to play more attacking this WC. I think they go W-W-D and top the group.

If Totti is completely back from his injury then they will be dangerous.. you can never count out the Italians

I cant wait for the first game tom.

Baros and Nedved miss training the past days. I wouldnt mind seeing them not play on the 12th but both are most likely to play.

Looking ahead past the group stages: Brazil is going to have to face one of Italy, the Czechs, or the USA (sorry Ghana). That and the potential Germany-England matchup will be awesome.

Totti has been pretty much a face for Italy but has never played incredibly well. Like owen and rooney, he's been fighting fitness and hasn't played much in a long time. I dont suspect he'll displace gilardino, toni or Inzaghi
