Ok, what are you peoples thoughts on when might they get to earth. The way it looks now, this entire season will be dealing with the occupation if not the next 2 seasons.

In some ways that bothers me because now they are fixed to one locale. This will make the show have a different feel because the entire fleet has been mobile until now.

Anyway, I think the timeline of them finding earth is directly related to when ratings drop. And that seems far away, unless this season isnt any good.

I don't think that's necessarily the case, since the two battlestars jumped away- I think they're going to have issues getting back to the planet, etc. I'm not even sure how much time something like that will take, either.

That's a negative, Ghostrider. Very reliable preliminary reports indicate that the occupation will not take up half of this season. (It will be over before the break.)

2. Finding Earth way to soon
3. Replacing the opening theme with nickleback

I'm very curious as to exactly how many people are on the planet, and how many of the ships in the fleet are still spaceworthy. I've read that about 2000 people were still aboard Galactica, Pegasus, and the few other ships which jumped out before the Cylons landed. How many were left after Gina blew up the Cloud Nine? It looked to me like that explosion took out several ships along with it.

One other thing which I'm interested in: anybody remember the Olympic Carrier (from "33")? There were supposed to be 1300 people aboard it, but Apollo said that he didn't see anyone aboard before it was destroyed. I can't help but wonder what happened to those people, and I wouldn't be too surprised if we don't find out before long.

i paused this scene right before the logo came up and it looks like what axelay said about a low reentry type thing

i could not really make out what was in the background / kinda looked like mountains but it could have been the outline of clouds

it was really hard to tell and i had to rewind to that part numerous times to catch it just right
overall / you cant tell
