When Pearl was an assistant at Iowa he was recruiting a kid head to head with Illinois. He found out, allegedly, that Illinois had offered this kid's family a large sum of money to play at Illinois instead of Iowa.

The staff was pissed..especially Pearl... and the next time he spoke with the recruit he mentioned it in hoping the kid would admit to it. Problem is, Pearl was illegally taping the conversation.

He thought he had concrete proof....the kid alluded to it, but when he turned the tape into the NCAA's, they got pissed at him for doing it, said it wasn't proof, and some of the staff took a shitload of heat for it

I thought he and a few other staff members had been fired from this, but I edited that out becuase I'm not sure if he was.... anyone know?

communication is communication... if everyone on here just posted the same thing over and over and over (or something really similar) then it would get to the point where it would be pointless to come on here at all. But they dont, they actually talk about sports.
