Jean and Kushner were not kicked off the team. They left on their own for unknown reasons. Playing time? Homesickness? Who knows...
(There's a good chance Kushner might come back)

Newell has always been on the team - never kicked off, never quit - but he has had a bout of homesickness or something and has been wavering a bit. He's good friends with Kushner, so it would be a big boost for Newell if Kushner does come back.

i remember being at a party and newell was there while on his recruiting trip. He was sitting in the corner with his glasses and braces drinking a high life 40. About 10 oclock he told his host, who I think was either Heppe or John Bedics, to take him back to the hotel.

how'd they respond? how'd you tell them also? was it kind of like, "hey guys we really love you guys playing for us, but can ya try to beat carolina this year," with a laugh. or was it more like, "hey guys y'all need to step it up and beat carolina for once," in a disgruntled kind of manner. for your safety i hope it was the earlier rather than the later one.

^^^those videos make me sad. To think we actually had an offense at one point, too bad we didn't have a defense that year.
