it's neat how 1234 5678 got narrowed down to 24 68. No one likes odd numbers anyway.

Nice little breakaway 5 hole action, reminded me of SJ vs Edm game 6...

Anahiem will have a challenge beating the oilers.. I am not sure if they are going to be able to or not. Depends on how hurt/tired the oilers are after that brutal SJ series. I say the series will go 6 games. Anahiem will find their legs and actually be able to get some point shots if their coaching staff is worth a damn.

Canes/Sabres is still a toss up for me. I think the first who scores really sets the pace for the game.

bsk

i think youre completely wrong

we win more games when we dont score first, although buffalo nearly always wins when they score first.

its not going to matter

you are right. We win more games when we do not score first, buffalo wins games when they score first.

what I was getting at which did not end up happening was that the team to take the lead was going to start the protect the lead at all costs game, both teams were crazy for blocked shots both team's goalies are on hot streaks, both teams are fast and can hold a lead.

it seems that both teams were so fast that transition game played a huge role.

also buffalo was very good at blocked shots, poke check, disrupting our puck movement, and transition game especially near the end.

I think that if we can stop being so fancy with the puck and start putting more on net from good angles and keep the goalies honest on occasion by throwing bad angle shots on net we can start to get back in the series. we are always right there for rebounds. it is one of our strengths so if we can just get a few lucky bounces we will be golden.

correct me if I am wrong, but if a team is crazy at blocking shots and giving protection i say make them pay for it. Slap shots up high more high point shots making them come out from the protect mode to get some more room infront of the net.

All i saw that game was shot from point deflected on front, dumped to other end and us having problems getting into the zone. we need to make it difficult for them to get into our zone. They did a great job of deflating one of the best power plays in the league so we need to go back to basic hockey, pounding in the front of the net some wide angle shots/passes off the backboards. Only something crazy is going to get miller off his game

sorry i was wrong with a completely off forcast and lack of full explination...

Edmonton up 3-0 in the 3rd period, and that'll make them up 3-0 for the series.

Just thought about this - Anaheim, California and Edmonton, Alberta - you can't get more of a clash of cultures than that.

4-2 Edmonton. The Oilers need to get back into the game or risk throwing it away.
