^^That's been a complaint from some people for awhile now. Booth babes might be nice eye candy, but it undermines the seriousness with which some people regard the game industry, making it seem like it's directed towards lonely teenage boys (moreso). As crazy as it sounds, there are those who want games to be regarded as art in the same vein as movies or books.

Metroid Prime 3 has been confirmed as a Wii launch title. Hmmm, Zelda and Metroid Prime 3. I'll be one happy guy come November.

exactly, i think nintendo may or may not be terribly succesful with wii but they'll start a new trend of focusing on other things besides just better graphics.

it kind of reminds me of AMD vs. Intel where intel just makes faster clock speeds while AMD makes better performing processors

like most, i prefer the 'mature' games, blood guts killing people etc. but i'll be damned if the Wii doesnt look like the most fun to play out of the the new consoles. i never thought i'd say it but i think i'm going to get a Wii (as childish as that may sound)

I do agree with some of the comments that have been made, that lately the only improvements have been to the graphics, and not the way people play the games. I like this whole idea, and will probably be purchasing a Wii.

People say "graphics" and lump everything in there like we are just talking about texture detail or something. Improvements in physics, real-time action/response, truely destructable/interactive environments, complex AI, and scale of object interaction is where the big improvements are. Its the guts of the game, not better art. This most definitely impacts the gameplay, definitely mlre so than any motion sensor control. These things are not possible without the processing power of the newer machines.
