Did anyone else get really pissed off that the "Phoenix" didn't turn into a big flaming bird like the cartoon ? Or that the story sucked and was so far from the original storyline or that rouge doesn't have her other powers. Man that really pisses me off cuz those were the better stories.
Anyways I give this movie a 4/10 I could watch it but I kept wanting to turn the channel.

Saw it last night.

I hate that all of the baddies in this were underdeveloped ethnic metrosexuals. Say what you will, but Sabretooth was badass in the first one. How we got from that to a latina with a jerry curl in a fishnet top escapes me.

Who the hell walks away from naked Rebecca Romain on the floor? I would have expected Juggernaut to wreck that chick.

Speaking of Juggernaut, what happened to him? I assume he was still unconscious on the island at the end of the film.

I liked the film a lot.

I read the comics but dont claim to be able to remember jack shit. The emo brotherhood was lame as is magnetos costume but you cant put that actor in bright colored spandex ok.

juggernaught came off lame as fuck too, which is sad because the guy that plays him is a badass. And the 'juggernaught bitch' line wasnt funny.

the most funny line in the film was the black cop guy saying he was going to spray mystique in the face with that pepper spray.

I think we're pretty much guaranteed to get a fourth after this one's stellar box office opening weekend.

Also, I think a lot of this movie's problems could have been remedied simply by sticking to the cure storyline and then, at the end of the movie, we get that scene with Cyclops at Alkali lake and a shot of Phoenix rising above the water. Think of the major payoff of that.

1. when wolverine leaves, it is going to be like the most popular guy at the party leaves early, everyone who is a casual fan is going to want to leave the movies

2. questionable past, questionable motives, lots of attitude, inability to fully commit to being an x-man, teammates constantly questioning whether he'll be there when they need him; lets just say that describes one person from the movies and one person from the comic books

3. wolverines powers have already, in many's estimations, been exagerated too much (i personally believe they're doing the character justice - especially in X1)
but surely they will do the same thing with Gambit, as he is going to be the poster-boy, and you just can't have two non-leader mutants that powerful (and trust me, neither of them is supposed to be the leader; that "hold this line!" shit was a Scott line if i've ever heard one, comic book scott, that is)

4. there are already too many mutants as it is, adding another major character that "deserves" to be done right will only make the fans angry

i could go on, but thats enough for now

save gambit for after wolvie leaves

He was initially found by Storm while she had amnesia and was turned into a child and living as a theif, she came across Gambit while running from the shadow king and interupted him robbing some house.

Later we found out it may not have been so random of a meeting...[lightning and dramatic music]
