i hate mike miller

this is what you get though when you play felton and bk at 1 and 2. two 6 footers on the defensive end = lots of open shots.

outscored 36-13 in the 4th. Yep, thats the Bobcats I remember.

Nice work by Rudy Gay. 0-4 with 2 pts and no rebounds in 14 minutes of play.

I feel a lot better about our future after seeing us tonight.

Okafor - he's finally becoming the defensive presence we thought he would be. 10 blocked shots in 2 games. He's going to have injury/foul problems though if we continue to play him out of position. We really need a center.

Morrison - Not as bad on defense as I thought he'd be. Besides, the other team usually has to put in a defensive specialist (Dahntay Jones tonite) to guard him so he doesnt really get exposed on defense. He's deadly in the halfcourt offense.

Felton - He sucks dick playing the 2 guard because he just can't shoot off the pass. This backcourt experiment is just not working, they should split minutes at point. He should be pretty solid and we'll probably trade Knight in a few months.

May - Ugh. I just dont like him. His offensive game is nice but his defensive game isn't. I just think players like this are a dime a dozen in the NBA. He's fine as depth but I dont see him as a fulltime PF and we have Okafor anyway.

GWallace - The guy is a disaster at the FT line and he cant shoot. He's an injury risk. He's also a terrific defender and he flat out makes plays on the court. It's going to be interesting to see how much money he commands as a free agent. He's a good player but you have to be careful not to overpay.

I think we're fine as long as we get a center and a freaking shooting guard. It was hard not to be impressed with Morrison tonight. Still sucks we've missed out on guys like Dwight Howard and Chris Paul by just a few picks and for whatever reason couldnt convince Roy to play here.

This offseason is going to be key with all the talent available. I just hope they dont panic and throw a bunch of money at guys who aren't difference makers if we miss out on our top targets.

knowing how cheap the front office is, i'd be surprised if they overpaid for someone that didnt deserve it.

i know wallace is a liability with his injuries, but he's such an energy guy that he really defines the team. when he's out, they look like complete crap. they would have to make a serious upgrade to justify lettin him go in my opinion. he could end up bein one of the breakout SF in the league this year. i mean he averages 15+ a game without havin a good jumper, and he's spendin a lot of time workin on it. i believe he was +50% from the field last season, so its not like he's forcin shots he cant make.

oh i love Wallace. I just think he's gonna command $8+ million a year. He's worth it, particularly since we already have him and he wouldnt work against our cap space.

ah damnit, same old song and dance with this team, not able to close games at the end -

Quote :
"We have to get back to who we were. We all used to be nobodies. No one wanted us. We had something to prove.
-- Brevin Knight"

interesting quote from Knight

i'm excited about what we've got this year though

ironic, cause i think we'd be a lot better off if we'd stop wanting bk. at least make him backup pg instead of forcing felton to start at sg. thats just retarded for so many reasons.

right now it seems like bickerstaff is obsessed with going with knight and felton at the 1 and 2, almost like he has the mentality of 'play the best players you've got even if they don't fit at the position you've got them at'

oh well, gets no easier tonight, lebron and co. come to the QC

Well i like the fact that Felton is on the court a lot but im not sure if he's really gonna learn the position of PG if we continue to play him at SG. He had absolutely no rhythm out there and it seemed like he was lacking confidence a little bit. He did have that absolutely sick spin move in the lane though and based on what he did at the end of last season I think he's gonna come on strong in the next few weeks.

I just dont understand why they cant play him 28 mpg and Brevin Knight 20 mpg at the point. Felton sucks as a 2 guard and since Wallace can't shoot either it really forces us to go inside on EVERY play.

no doubt...it stifles his growth playing him out of position. its just stupid... felton should be playin 30-35 minutes and knight could still easily get 20 if they want to use felton and knight on the court at the same time on occasion.

Bobcats get their first win tonight, beating the cavs 92-88, held lebron to 3-13 from the field, 16 points, 8 of which came in the final 1:30 on 5 ft's and a garbage time three when the bobcats were letting anyone and everyone shoot.

felton had 23 points, 5 reb, 7 ast, 4-6 from three.

knight had 17 points, 3 reb, 7 ast

may had 14 points, 9 reb, 2 blk

okafor had 12 points, 4 reb, 3 blks

morrison had 13 points

morrison hit some tough shots that showed what he's capable of. i think when he gets adjusted to the nba, he can be a 18+ pts a game at least

If the bobcats had a legitimate center, and could run the lineup of:

pg felton
sg morrison
sf wallace
pf okafor
c insert any legitimate center

and brought may and knight off the bench, would be one exciting team to watch, and could possibly have some impact in the eastern conference

The Sportscenter highlight was phenomenal

~ the play where okafor blocks gooden twice
~ morrison knocking down jumpers and playing D on James
~ May sending James's shot back down the stretch and then proceeding to stand over James and stare him down

it's nice to get some love from H-Y-P-E

nice to win a game especially against a good opponent. I think Cleveland mighta blown their wad in San Antonio the night before.

Good to see Felton put together his first good game of the season.

Okafor just cant stay out of foul trouble because he's not tall enough to play the center position. He has to jump to contest shots and he gets in trouble leaving his feet so much. He is throwing shit left and right though. His offensive game is still complete weaksauce and will be until he develops a go to post move.

his offense last night actually looked pretty good. he managed to pull out a move the dream must've taught em, and he was usin the glass like he'd been doin it for years. granted his offensive abilities last night were an aberration based on what we've seen from him up to this point, but who knows, maybe he's turnin a corner?

well he sucked on offense until his third year of college when he developed some game so ive been hoping he can develop at this level too.

Im really hoping next year is the year... we jsut have to add a SG/C with our draft pick and free agent money. I wish there was a way to simulate the season and skip ahead to Year 4.

Cavs comment (4)
Quote :
"Honestly? The sight of Sean May rejecting LeBron at the rim -- and then looking down him with a dismissive glare -- shocked me more than LBJ posterizing Duncan."

Bobcats comment (24)
Quote :
"Beating Cavs was a big moment, but the most encouraging development is Okafor's fine start (13.0 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 4.3 bpg) after a worrying preseason (7.6 ppg, 5.9 rpg)."

Id say Sean May gets put on a poster by Lebron next time we play, thats just a hunch

Primoz Brezec, if you followed the team you would know he is actually decent and hurt right now.

And where is all this talent? Sure the starting 5 are good, but damn those bench players couldn't make any other team except maybe the Hawks or Knicks.

and get May out of there, he sucks...fat, lazy and whiny...i still wonder to this day how Williams got so much out of him.

tonite was very discouraging.

Morrison was god awful defensively and he couldnt hit a fucking shot to save his life. He REALLY needs to work on his shooting if he's going to be an effective player in this league. He needs to quit whining at the officials so much and just get his head in the game.

Felton got hurt and he's still having serious turnover issues.

Knight lost his cool again and his technical foul may have cost us the game in regulation. He played very well other than that though.

Gerald Wallace is having a terrible season. If he's not going to score or rebound then I dont think we should match his offers in the offseason. Im beginning to realize that he's a little overrated defensively and that his stats come from a lot of gambling rather than solid defense. Wally absolutely TOASTED him tonight in the 3rd quarter. 2 of his 3 rebounds came in the final 5 seconds of regulation for gods sake and one was because he rebounded his own blown layup. He was getting his shit thrown all night by the Celtics big men. He was so awful tonight that in 48 hours i completely changed my mind on if we should lock ourselves into him.

Okafor is just a complete beast right now. He's the one bright spot on this team.

but you guys act like there are more than a handful of great centers in the entire league
