^^ well it looks like Matt's gonna be back next episode. I didn't think that this one was all that good either, but it beats the hell out of trying to enjoy re-runs

i thought this episode was pretty good. though, the skits on the show and the impressions within them are never funny. i get this sort of warm fuzzy feeling after i watch it, for whatever reason. i'll miss it.

yeah i was thinkin the same thing.

both of those problems were introduced in the episode before, and neither were resolved in this past episode. almost seems like they were "treading water" a bit with this episode, which is odd considering the fact that it's most likely getting the axe. i guess they must have filmed everything all at once way before any of that was known.

the episode is listed as Part 1 of 2.. decent epi so far.. hopefully part 2 finishes the two stories

i didn't realize that.

kind of odd though, considering that the most recent episode picked up just minutes after the previous one had ended. you'd think it'd make more sense if the last episode was part 2. then maybe the next one part 3?

that's kinda dumb though i think, because with this show it's obvious that each show carries over into the next.

pisses me off that a show that is this well-written and acted is getting bounced and yet 30 other shitty , braindead shows like dancing with the stars and flavor of love survive. So incredibly frustrating.

god damnit. what a great episode.

so is it all over for sure? no chance at it continuing?

god i fucking hate television. all the best shows get cast aside to be replaced by the cheapest way to reel in idiot america.

At least the show went out knowing this was a finale instead of leaving 3 or 4 cliffhangers. The show wasn't a complete diaster as some people made it out to be. The biggest problem with the show were the plotlines. Early in the show, the writers took out the entire writing staff which I thought could have been some of the best parts of the show (complete with Altman like camera and sound of the writers in progress). Can we actually see how these people are funny? I didn't laugh at any of the actual sketches. The show felt too much like West Wing topics with SNL cast and it just didn't work with the majority of the people. Other than that, the acting was great and the set productions were awesome.

So instead of a great cast with interesting topics that make you think I will be stuck with some more boring fake ass game-shows and other real-time boring shit....this is why I keep it on ESPN and let it ride...

I too enjoyed this Show. While the final episode felt like a quick wrap up, it was the right thing to do.

It turns out none of my favorite shows this year made it to next year... Someone likes me enough to make me good TV, but not enough to keep it around.

See, that makes no sense. Because I, unlike your show, haven't been canceled.

Great show with a relatively satisfying ending. Could have been better if it were continuing, but that's the way it goes.

Comes out on DVD in October. I'll be getting it.

I think the main problem with this show is that they tried to make a serious drama about a comedy show.

Perhaps this show should have taken a hint from reality and not made such a shitty series. There is some reality for you. Too bad the writers didn't see it my way.

Nowadays if you can't reasonably watch the show with vacant eyes and chip crumbs on your beer belly listening for the laugh track to cue you when something is funny, you won't last on network TV.

I was very pleased with the last episode and I am glad they tied things up pretty neatly. I hope Aaron Sorkin makes something new soon. I enjoy his writing style.
