^^and they don't expect you to have the stamp on your hand after hours of drinking...presumably you would have had hours of drinking before getting the stamp

but this is the same ink they use in carmichael, where it won't come off when you're in the pool or shower

so how much are they saving by not printing these tickets?

it must be an environmentalist's nightmare

big rich folk save money by not using as much paper

thousands of students using a sheet of paper 4 times as big as original ticket size

yeah plus i'm sure it costs money to set up special student gates and pay event one to stand there and scan our tickets.

factoring in all costs, i can't see how it can really be THAT much cheaper than just letting us register for tickets online, and pick up real tickets at reynolds. they could just scan our ID's at the window to see if we won or not, and then give us a ticket.

it's still better for them than the old way because they don't have to print vouchers. and then we can just take the real tickets and go in any gate just like anyone else, and they don't have to worry about manning special student gates with scanners.

not really...as far as security goes, it how most stadiums around the country and planning to move within the next 5 years...and a lot of bball arenas already do it (RBC does it for any other event)

why is that retarded? have you never been to a concert at Alltel Pavillion?

my question is why they are making you have to show "a valid ticket" and the proper stamp to get into the section. Your not gonna get a stamp without a ticket . . . so what's the point in making you have a ticket.

you won't really need a ticket....I don't know why they are saying that, because that isn't really necessary...just put the ticket in your pocket and the stamp should be fine

look, updating technology and making things MORE complicated is NOT the answer. the answer is to bring back the system that WORKED.

and the illusion is you all think the old system worked....it didn't...we had problems, we just didnt' publish them in the technician

but the old system was far from being perfect, or even good

no way. there were never as many problems with real tickets as there are with this damn system. in the end, it's all about getting people into the stadium fairly and painlessly on gameday. the old system did that MUCH better than any of this online shit.

From what I've seen, the online system puts more fans in the stands unlike the old system.

Yeah, I know the Wachovia Center in Philly does that

because my dad's ticket wouldn't scan the last time we were there (and it wasn't fake, it was given to us by an assistant coach).

considering you had people stealing tons of vouchers, I wouldn't necessarily call that fair.

how would it not work? It works just fine everywhere else that it is used. and you are right, it probably is easier the way we do things now . . . just tear off part of the ticket and go in. But is like everything else in the world . . . easier doesn't always mean better. And it allows athletics more control over thigns and makes it easier to track and monitor things.

truth. it's because we are being held accountable by having penalties for unused tickets. i do really like that about the current system.

Like hcnguyen the same thing happened to me. If it says to claim your ticket, doesn't it mean you should have one waiting for you under "Your tickets?"

I have season tickets now, so I don't go to point events anymore. But point events are a small price to pay for better seats, real tickets, an assigned seat, and none of the at the gate hassels.

This is the 2nd Claim period. If you won in claim 1 and didn't claim, you're screwed. Make sure you're using IE. If you click on Claim Ticket and get
Quote :
"Claim Football Ticket
Date/Time: 10/5/2006 7:30pm
Opponent: Florida State
Venue: Carter-Finley Stadium
The claim period for this event started at 10/1/2006 3:01:00 AM and will end at 10/1/2006 11:59:00 PM"

you probably didn't win. Did either of you get email confirmations saying that you won?

well the SWPC is the gayness this year, I have participated in it for the last 3 years... up until after the Akron game this year..

now the now ride up thing and the faggots running it make it worth not going to point events

well, I could argue either way on riding up for football tickets, I suppose that is a downside though.

Minutes is virtually the same thing though, you either stay the whole time, or you don't. And I read that you had to swipe cards now, but we cheated the system before, and I am sure you could still get away with it now.
