I believe USC will lose to cal and/or ND. Arkansas will give UF a run in the SEC title game and maybe even win. Then ND is in the NC.

Well that means they still had 15 starters, it was at Arkansas, they won by 36, and Arkansas has won every game since.

Don't worry, they still have to beat Notre Dame, who you played in South Bend and beat pretty good, so USC as far as comparison, would have to do likewise to.

for page 6

If USC wins out, they got it (I agree their schedule is good, but not crazy, sagarin has a boner over them though)

if USC loses, and Florida wins out, Florida is in (VERY hard schedule)

if USC and Florida lose, then it will be chaos

^ McFadden, who IS Arkansas, was at about 50% for that game, they are a totally different team with him healthy... but they just started ranked too low

Well, the Big XII North is about equal to the SWAC. That division is downright horrid.

USC will be in the title game if they win out... but they'll lose to Cal tonight.

Speaking very biased I hope RU or WVU gets in the title game but realistically that last Michigan TD will probably put them in Glendale as I feel Florida and Arkansas will both lose before the end of the year.

Regardless of if you deserve it or not, I can't see voters making it an all-Big 10 final unless they're absolutely forced to. I'm a Purdue guy and am a Big 10 guy too, it's just that you have to get over the bias that certain regions of the country hold (mainly the Southeast).

^^^ LSU is going to be really dangerous... they are a really good 2 loss team

^ I think its more wanting to give another team a chance at Ohio State and not just redo the same matchup

michigan was outplayed all day long today...only reason they were in it was because of 2 bad snaps and a poor decision on a throw that was INT

i thought UM was better - they were outplayed today and don't deserve to go to the NC

Honestly, and I DO NOT think Rutgers deserves it personally but they will be #2 in teh computers if they win out (and I think WVU will CRUSH them) but it will come down to the humans if they win out..

Strange... I think there will be a rematch as much as I hate to say it.

[Edited on November 18, 2006 at 7:24 PM. Reason : they are already #3 in teh computers]

[Edited on November 18, 2006 at 7:26 PM. Reason : if i'm a um fan i keep tabs on the cincy-ru game tonight to see if its a blowout]

Ohio St stormed the field.

Honesty, you are the #1 team and you storm the field?

Michigan doesn't need a remach. They have had their shot, let someone else get one.

no one else will come close to beating them

Florida is garbage, ND blows out shitty teams, Arkansas doesnt have the offense to keep up

USC may only lose by 2TDs if they play OSU

The #2 team shouldn't be discussed until all games are played. The only thing that is certain is that Michigan's season is over and they only have 1 loss. If every other team in contention loses one more, the point is moot. Michigan is in. There's only controversy if there are other 1-loss teams AFTER all games have been played. Until then, there's really no sense speculating on who deserves to go.

Actually, you can have one less result to count on in this formula. You shouldn't need the Irish to lose.

ND or Cal beat USC. LSU beat Arkansas. Florida lose to Arkansas in SEC championship.

All this game today proved was that Michigan is indeed the second best team in the country, and if this game were played in Ann Arbor, likely a different result. How in the world does Notre Dame have a chance of getting into the NC over UM having been whipped by Michigan in South Bend, and Arkansas was whipped by USC, what chance do they have? Ohio State will eat USC up if that happens. You have to play 4 quarters to beat Ohio State, you take a quarter off, they'll punish you. USC has played many games where they have played horribly for 2 quarters only to come back and blow a team out, Tonight was case in point, that won't fly versus OHio State. I would think Florida is the only one loss team who would deserve it over Michigan, granted they beat Arkansas, and they really don't deserve it over Michigan, Michigan deserves a rematch.

wow, what a buch of fucking pansies....

"hey, we lost, lets just keep playing over and over until we win too!"

a rematch is retarded. Michigan had their chance, played a great game, but lost to Ohio State, give someone else a chance. It happens all the time... for instance, in a league that has 2 divisions and a championship game the best two teams might be in the same division, but they dont get a "rematch" in the championship game, they had their chance in the regular season and didnt get it done. For example, in the SEC, there were several years where Florida/Tennessee/Georgia in the East were much better than anyone in the West but they didnt get any of this communist "aww, everyone has to feel good, no one can be a loser, cant hurt anyones feelings" bullshit

it wasnt a neutral turf tho

also how about a team which ohio state beat early in the season, do they still have a chance,
i you're just saying you dont wanna see the same game again, but in reality the national championship should be the two best teams going at it

neither were those...

^ and if it was REALLY obvious that they were the two best, for example, Ohio State undefeated, Michigan with one loss, and the next best team in the country had 3 losses, than ok, do a rematch. But with a lot of one loss teams out there pick one that didnt just lose to Ohio State in the previous game

I agree with this...i understand the USC argument but USC got beat by oregon state who got killed by undefeated boise st so honestly i dont think USC should get to go over boise.....but that being said michigan is clearly the second best team so they should go

except Ball State

Michigan had their chance and they lost. Give someone else a chance. Otherwise this 'armageddon game' was the most meaningless game of the season.
