i have no idea who liverpool fielded in that match...but i do know they should sell gerrard right now. he is a shell of his former self. he looks slower this year and not as in control of the midfield as he used to be. maybe i just keep seeing the bad matches that he plays this year and miss the good ones, or maybe hes just having a bad year?...

You don't watch much Liverpool...

He and Torres are their entire team pretty much... there have been plenty of games where he's put them on his back and carried them (most recently - Derby)

Gerrard will be at Liverpool for life

also... Gerrard has 12 goals in all competitions -- it's not just him holding down the midfield and being the team's leader, its been him scoring goals (many of them key) too

Couldn't you also say 22 games in points are ? That's a pretty huge difference. If Arsenal wants to win the title they're gonna have to get more points.

Gerrard's 3rd was nice

Luton gave up after Liverpool's 2nd

I also think Gerrard/Torres probably should've been replaced after 2-0, and definitely after 3-0 but Rafa supposedly has methods to his madness

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed both Robin van Persie and Johan Djourou could be set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

Dutchman van Persie, 24, has endured an injury-plagued season, suffering a knee problem earlier in the campaign, managing only 14 appearances, but netting seven goals, and had suffered a further thigh injury.

'Robin van Persie who is out for a few weeks,' Arsene Wenger confirmed to Arsenal TV Online.

'Johan Djourou is out as well. He has had an inflammation of his groin and in the next two weeks he will not be capable to play.'

w00t. im in first place in league a few of us joined. gg ronaldo and benjani:

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/table.mc?id=4117

sadly, being first in the league only garners me a ranking of 15,123 out of 1,603,934 players(but i did start late).

"Hooligans Utd." league: 11394-4117"

not sure if its too late or anything to sign up..wont win the whole thing obv, but they might still be doing that prize for top fantasy point scorer of the month...i believe you win a jersey of your choice or something like that.

Michael Carrick could be about to return to his native North East as part of Kevin Keegan's latest revolution on Tyneside.
Manchester United's former Tottenham and West Ham midfielder was today linked with an £18m move to Newcastle.

The Daily Star Sunday says Keegan wants the England midfielder to breath life into the side he inherited from sacked boss Sam Allardyce.

Carrick has only played a handful of games at Old Trafford this season and has been kept out of the side by the form of Anderson.

If the deal goes through, Manchester United would use the money to help finance a £30m bid for Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov, according to the Mirror on Sunday.

get rid of carrick, he really hasnt done anything impressive. and spot on about anderson. that kid is holding down the midfield and is only gonna get better

but that price-tag is ridiculously too high for berbatov. hes already i think in his upper 20s, he doesnt have too many more years left at full potential

A poll consisting of 2500 women voted on the UGLIEST Football Players in the World
(http://www.thepeoplesclub.com)

...at least man u will take one trophy this season

Quote :
" 1. Wayne Rooney, 2. Ronaldinho, 3. Carlos Tevez, 4. Peter Crouch, 5. Ronaldo, 6. Luke Chadwick, 7. Robbie Fowler, 8. Darren Fletcher, 9. Rio Ferdinand, 10. Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

No fewer than eight of the Top Ten play or have played for Manchester United. And this with no mention of Phil Neville.

While it is true that Manchester United players find it hard to breathe with their mouths closed, are they really the ugliest team? Are they ugly at all?"

ONDON (AP) - Tottenham ended a nine-year winless streak against Arsenal on Tuesday to reach the English League Cup final with a 5-1 victory.

Jermaine Jenas, Nicklas Bendtner's own-goal, Robbie Keane and Aaron Lennon put Spurs 4-0 ahead before Emmanuel Adebayor replied for Arsenal.

Steed Malbranque then added a goal in injury time to give Spurs a 6-2 aggregate victory.

The end of Arsenal's record 21-match unbeaten run against its north London rival means three-time League Cup winner Tottenham will play either defending champion Chelsea or Everton in the Feb. 24 final at Wembley.

The other two teams play the second leg of their semifinal on Wednesday, with Chelsea leading 2-1 from its home match
