^^ As far as stuff I've read about its mostly been stuff from Brawl, peoples views on moves and characters from the Japanese edition. And I just preordered my copy today, woot!

I heard from someone whose played the japanese version that Captain Falcon now has the ability to switch the direction of the falcon punch at the last second... not sure if this is an intended thing or if it's one of those little glitches someone managed to find, but it certainly changes his playstyle somewhat... also wondering if Ganondorf's punch acts in the same way.

^It is intentional, check the official brawl website (http://www.smashbros.com), it just listed it today. When he reverses it, it is slightly more powerful then the regular one.

Yeah it happened to me a few times when the score was even in a timed match. It's great when the other person doesn't realize his % is at 300 until it's too late.

I've ended a timed match tied lots of times. But, dude, killing each other at the exact same moment in a Stock Mode battle to end it...like a one in a million shot.

It's like this one time, when I was playing Street Fighter II and my brother and I had split the series, 1-1. He was Chun-Li and I was Blanka, both down to slivers of health. I did Blanka's electricity field and and he did Chun-Li's lightning kick. Fourth round! Thought the game would glitch, but it didn't.

Damn, I just called Gamestop and they said that you have to use the Wii+nunchuk for the tournament. I was hoping to school some n00bs with Fox + my wavebird since I heard he is pretty much the same as on Melee.

Really? Because I was told that he has to play a little differently due to the lack of being able to jump out of the reflector...and no wavedashing. (The reflector was a huge source of combos if you never used it.)

Ok, a serious WTF moment just occurred for me.

I got my preorder through Circuit City. I bought the preorder tag several months ago, when the release date was still early February. So I've held on to it, knowing that the date had been pushed back several times.

So I call the guy today to make sure my pick up will go smoothly on Sunday. This was our conversation,

CC:"Hello this is Kwan, how may I help you"
Me: "Yes, I originally preordered Smash Brothers for the Wii several months ago, and wanted to make sure you were going to have the game on Sunday for the release"
CC:"Umm...well, if the paper says we're going to have it, then we'll have it"
Me: "Ok, but I wanted to make sure that since that is the release date, and the point of the preorder was to get it on release, just wanted to make sure it would go smoothly"
CC:"Well, I don't know what to tell you. If the paper says we'll have it, we will. I mean, I don't know what to tell you, I just work here"

...

^^^ Ok, I wasn't asking him how CC stock was doing. I wasn't asking him if he could build a computer for me.

I called the Software/Game department to ask about a release date for a game, that his store has been selling pre-orders for several months. If I called TWC to ask what my bill for the month was, I wouldn't expect them to refer me to the website to check current rates, because "he/she only works there"

Anyway, I'm done complaining about it, they just better get the game on Sunday

I. am. pissed.

I was in Blockbuster today, and saw that they were doing SSB pre-orders...so I figured, you know, why not...it'll make things easier on me tomorrow. I go up to the cash register and ask to do it, and they're like ok cool. I paid the whole thing off then and there by credit card. Right after the charges went through, I asked them, so when can I come by to pick this up? (as in midnight or when they opened in the morning) The guys says "Oh, Thursday or something. We'll give you a call."

From what I understand, you can program your own controls into the wiimote/nunchuck controllers. I'm not sure if this is also the case with the gamecube controllers.

Just reserved mine at the Gamestop in Fuquay. I honestly liked the N64 version 10x better than the GC version. But I am giving this one a shot. Had to buy another nunchuck... guess nnow I ca box vs someone else too!
