people are making such a big deal about 5 duke players fouling out, but if the fouls were called on them like they should, it wouldn't be that big of a shock because it would happen MUCH MORE OFTEN. duke gets away with more hand checks and other bs its not even funny.

you know what.... Wake came to play and Duke did not. They played sloppy and uninspired for the most part. I saw no emotion from anyone other than coach K. everyone else had that deer in headlights look. I'm glad the Deacs won this.... Duke can build on this loss

Scheyer driving to the basket is the equivalent of JJ Redick driving and getting stripped but they tried it like 8 times. No the 3's didn't rain and they had no answer for Tegue. Mix in Nelson's piss poor FT shooting and it's not hard to see why they got their asses handed to them tonight. This game is gonna make the rest of the bubble teams left on their slate salivate for a quality win.

Duke didn't hit the shots they usually do tonight, and even forced a few down the stretch.

Wake Forest is going to have to pick up another win or two on the road to make it. Miami is the only other team I see with decent at-large hopes but their next three are Duke, MD, and @Clem.

duke played terribly. scheyer and paulus had really bad games. i thought the officiating was horrible (when was the last time the entire starting 5 fouled out of a game) but it wasn't the reason they lost.

i'm also officially worried about Henderson's wrist. it's obviously limiting him offensively.

The game was well officiated for most of the game, until the bogus intentional foul call on McFarland followed in short order by a BS charge against Wake, a jump stop by Nelson when he hadn't even dribbled the ball, and an uncalled block/trip on Scheyer in front of the Wake bench. When a team attacks you inside and draws contact, and you are forced to foul to stop the clock, you will have guys fouling out. You can also blame Singler for committing two incredibly stupid fouls in the backcourt.

Foul discrepency should be expected when you commit more fouls. The more amazing stat is how often Duke wins the foul/free throw battle despite being a perimeter team.
