that episode was really good.

^^ you didn't miss much. Before it they showed a survey boat that had found the remains of Oceanic 815, and it had a video of the underwater crash site. That first guy that landed on the island introduced himself to kate and jack too as Daniel.

first minute or so:
footage of some underwater cameras searching the ocean floor then finding an oceanic plane. that footage led directly into the newscast where the reporter said that 815 was found by a salvage crew off the coast of indonesia (I think)
daniel was in boston and was apparently deeply affected by the news

speaking of heroes, the pilot featured on the newscast was parkman (or it should've been anyway - I couldn't completely tell on sd broadcast.)
he didn't have a 'stache in the pilot or the deleted scene from exodus though.

I liked how ben was like..."I'll answer all your questions", then locke asks him the all-important question about the smoke monster. I got quite excited thinking Ben would start spitting out answers to all the questions we wanted answers too.

I loved this episode. I thought it was great and it should have been the season premiere by far. I can't believe there hasn't been more discussion about the man on the boat. Am I the only one who immediately assumed Michael?

switch back to the island, having some dialouge that raises some wtf

go back to a random flashback to raise even more wtf

back to the island, action to make you like damn waht will happen next

another random flashback to rasie even more wtf than the last one

more dialouge by a seperate group to make you like wtf even more than all the times

bad robot out...

Okay so the polar bear skeleton they found in the desert, obviously put there by Dharma, were the bones fossilized? And I didn't recognize the station symbol on the collar, it looked like a snake or serpent or something. Have we seen that Dharma station?

yeah, they need to reel it in some. I don't mind some new characters... especially if it helps answer questions but they need to be careful.

Was there something a while back related to Lost where they found a ship or sub in the desert? Maybe I'm thinking of a random movie or show, or maybe it was on one of the websites. Anyone recall anything like this?

Also, how come the newcomers weren't in any kind of terrain or military clothing? They were all wearing civilian clothes, and that one guy was even wearing a tie. Why would you be wearing a tie while you parachute out of a chopper? And why was the other girl wearing a bullet proof vest?

so, explain this to me....the fact that they found the plane is strange right? because the main pieces of the plain were actually on the island, and in season 1 we saw the pilot and co-pilot when the survivors went to search the wreckage, i think charlie walked in there looking for his heroin and the pilots body was in there.

The dude that was "supposed to be the pilot" watching in the bahamas knew that the pilot didnt have a ring on his finger. so whats the deal?

1) did someone put a whole other mock-up of Oceanic815 on the bottom of the ocean ("its a fake")
2) is the island supernatural, something happened in a supernatural fashion to cause survival on the island
3) i have no fucking clue

anyways, i am sure these are all questions that everyone had, just blew my mind with this episode

It's a fake on the ocean floor... if it were something supernatural and it really was the wreckage, the pilot would have still had the ring on. And it should also be interesting to see how this ghostbuster Miles dude "interacts" with the apparitions of Jack's dad, Walt, and Boone.

I wonder if miles will also be able to make some sense out of all of the voices on the island.

I would like to see him get near that mass grave for all the dharma people too.



In that scene were the paleontologist lady found the polar bear and the collar, i was wonder if maybe they were just thrill seekers who met on the internet as like a "Dharma conspiracy group" like all of the real serious Area 51 fanatics (does that make any sense?).
