Did anyone see the Duke v. VT game? I had a question about one play...

VT scored (a FG I believe). On the ensuing kickoff the ball bounced right off the chest of the Duke returner, rolled about 5-10 yards forward, was picked up by VT, and ran back for a TD. They put points on the board, I got distracted for about 10 seconds and the next thing I know the points were off the board and VT had the ball on the Duke 30 yard line.

I can only assume there was a flag/penalty but I didn't catch it. I didn't see any flag on the play indicators and I only took my eyes off the game for a few seconds. So what was the penalty? He couldn't have taken a knee or stepped out of bounds during the return.
