If Sid can't figure out how to get these guys to play together and win its his fault. But some of you guys want to get rid of the team's best player. Makes no sense.

That's exactly the point. No one is saying that Sid doesn't know how to draw up plays that work. He just can't get 18 year olds to do it on the court. Not every player is going to have Atsur's basktetball IQ. Sid needs to adjust for the players he has.

I don't know who you are, but unless you're a student team manager on the team, I doubt any of our guys would tell a normal everyday student about private matters within the team. Hell, I just saw a couple of girls chase JJ across the street in front of my car today and he didn't seem to interested. Why would he transfer and sit out a year, if he could just as easily go to the pros????

he was never an nba prospect in high school, and still isn't soaring to the top of draft boards because he's a tweener...he can't hit threes, he can't play against some of the strong 4s and 5s, and he's undersized. granted "HANSBROUGH HAS THE BIGGEST HEART OF ANYONE SINCE JESUS" will probably get him drafted if he chose to leave, but he doesn't appeal to nba scouts like a hickson or a beasley.

i dont know that anyone besides earl/howard said that. the issue is that sid can't figure out how to implement jj hickson into a system that works and get people to buy into it. is jj an issue? yes of course. is it his fault? no, not at all. i actually feel bad for him since sid has pretty much wasted his entire year here (and probably only year).

Wall is just a junior this year. If he does come to State, Hickson would be a junior when Wall is a freshman. If Hickson bases his decision on the PG situation ... well, it'll be the exact same next year as it is this year (with Degand hopefully healthy, of course).

there's an interview with jj on wral.com and he's talking about where our troubles are coming recently. he says that it's just players not executing and not focusing in end of game situations...just a few plays here and there....



not sure what sidney is telling these guys or if jj just ain't listening but that's definitely not the major problem wit this team.

he also talks about going pro, and of course he's not going to tell the media anything of any substance, but he did say he'll sit down with his coaches and family and decide what's best, that while the nba is where he ultimately wants to be, that it's not going anywhere, and that he wouldn't mind coming back for another year to ncsu.

I thought from the beginning that JJ would stay at least 2 years based on the fact that he was a borderline 1st rounder. Unless he dominated the ACC and moved up to everyone's top 10 in the draft. Unless you are going to fail out of school, your family is completely fucking broke, there are NCAA violations coming, or you get in a fist fight with your coach...you do not leave school after your freshmen year to be a late 1st round/early 2nd round pick if you have the potential to be a lottery pick by staying an extra year or two.

It's really that simple. Cedric Simmons shouldn't have left, but he had the possibility of being a lottery pick. Josh Powell either had issues with Herb or had family troubles (or both). Unless I'm missing something, JJ has none of those problems and is a borderline first round pick right now. He would be retarded to leave...and right now I don't think he will.
