^^^pretty much. we put up the least amount of points on them all season with the next closest being:

Cal State Northridge with 69
Houston Baptist 63

i mean heck, north dakota state put up 104 and beat them by 53.

dont get me wrong, ill take this win but our offense needs to step it up.

just got back from the game...

I love seeing Harris out there because he hustles and plays his ass off.. he gets beat off the dribble too much but thats not much different from anyone else on the defensive end so might as well give him the same PT he got tonight.

I cannot stand the offense we are running or the substitution pattern. The first half was filled with unneccessary substitutions that don't allow the team to get a rhythm. If they are in such bad shape you have to sub them out every 3 minutes then get a better conditioning program. And stop running at 4 around 1 against the zone when you know nobody on our team can shoot(aside from Costner when he gets hot or Fells streaky shooting). We are athletic so run some cuts or dribble penetration or something to get the offense going. passing the ball around the perimeter then throwing it to Hickson in the paint with 3 guys around him is never going to work.

Needless to say we still have a long ways to go before we can compete in the ACC

so lookin at the stats, that comment i made about duke letting them get way more points on them than we did....


at duke, nc central had 60 shots. tonight they had 59...

they had double the points on duke than us
...
and looking at a sample of 10 games nc central shot mostly in the mid to high 30% range in their games, with about the similar amount of shots they had tonight...


maybe our defense is underrated??

well, because they played zone defense most of the entire game (smart, since we can't shoot)

and we have abso-fucking-lutely NO offensive scheme to score against the zone.

everytime down the court jj goes down low, shuffles back and forth from block to block (or gets called for 3 seconds) while the rest of the team is spaced equally around the 3 point line, slinging the ball back and forth to each other until the shot clock runs down and we either jack up and miss a 3 or turn it over while trying to dump it into jj who is promptly surrounded by the entire defense
