hopefully this game was the beginning of many smart decisions for sid:

1) don't play costner
2) design plays to get fells the ball...not just at the end of games though

also, hickson's the man. and i thought for a second javi was trying for choke artist of the year, after his terrible D two possessions in a row followed by a missed free throw to seal the game. but he got one down at least and played pretty solid throughout. not sure if he should get the start over marques because maybe he plays better coming off the bench, but he sure is playing better than marques right now.

a lot of clutch players in this game, of course Fells and Hickson at the end, but let's not forget Grant's two threes and mostly solid ft shooting, and the one in the second half to tie us back up.

Given that Javi's the best we're going to get out of pg this year, he is improving and was pretty clutch on the fts today. Of course he still made dumb freshman mistakes, but his contributions are increasing every game, and Marques still can't seem to get anything going. Eventually he(Javi) should be able to use his size and speed to his advantage with a lot of scrappy steals and drawing bump fouls.

i thought javi was better about being scrappy and making stuff happen today. yeah, he did make some mistakes, but on the last possession, he played solid defense without fouling. we needed him today, and although he wasn't the best, he did enough.
