i have a 1.5 year old and a 5.5 year old--the older one isn't a problem, but the younger one drives me crazy. i can't imagine having two young ones. i've had to start waking her up whenever she falls asleep until we go to bed at night so she'll actually sleep instead of tearing around the apartment at night

and i, too, am a cat person

Oh, mine will pull on my hair with their teeth, but I think they're just cleaning it a little bit cause they do a little nibble and pull type thing with my hair and then they lick the hair and repeat son.

she is sitting a foot away from me purring while i eat lunch and looking longingly at my food

i don't know why she is purring though. i guess she is happy just looking.

she hangs upside down out of the top level of the cat toy, like laying on her back and looking out at you upside down. and when i look at her and we meet eyes, she gives this little "purr-row?" type of sound.

My cat is very funny with food. The only human food she eats are biscuits and pork.

She wont eat any fish, other breads, or other meats. Just biscuits and pulled/chopped pork.

The only cat food she will eat is normal dry food. No treats and definitely no wet food.

She licks her (empty) food dish when she's hungry.

It's okay. I surprised her with a beard trimmer last night and now she has a short spot that makes me laugh

Grits loves to get my used floss out of the trash can and chew on it. If I hold the floss for him, he will bite it and pull against me like he's really trying to floss.

B-Whiddle LOVES cantaloupe and watermelon. I once had a bunch of watermelon in a bowl and gave her pieces as I was eating it. When I finished, I gave her the juice with the seeds in it, ASSUMING she would only drink the juice...nope, most the seeds were gone too! She also uses this special "I'm starving/pittiful/tired/sweet" crackly-squelch-meow when she wants something.

And those of you complaining about having 1 young cat - try sharing a house with 5 kittens who are 5 months old, plus 2 three year olds!! It's a joy and a disaster all at once!

My 6 month old cat routinely nibbles, licks and sucks (loudly) on my earlobe, apparently believing that if he tries hard enough, milk will come out.

Cleo had serious separation anxiety when i got her (almost 7 years ago) and for the first 3 months she was with me, she'd meow and whine the minute i walked out of a room, she'd follow me everywhere, be right up under me whenever i was home. i decided to get another cat to keep her company during the day and it pretty much stopped immediately. all she needed was a little friend

haha she got her name because when we were adopting her, Miss Cleo the psychic was being arrested for fraud and we thought it was a cute name

your cat likely won't get along with the new kitty for a week, maybe two. but pretty soon they'll be licking each other's asses

oh my

my old roommate got her cat just after she was spayed and had to keep her isolated from my cat for the first two weeks. once we introduced them (after they had smelled eachother in the house for those two weeks but not seen eachother) they were hysterical! i thought they'd never be okay alone

the new kitty looks cute though

that means she feels safe and trusts you AND it probably means she was taken from her mom too young

it probably won't stop anytime soon

^ haha. she tries to nurse on my neck!

i think she was taken from her mom too young too! they said she was 11 weeks. no way in hell. this cat looks 8 weeks at best. and she was in the shelter for like 2 weeks so!

her and my other cat are making progress. i think they will be bff eventually. they both slept with me on the bed. but if my big cat got too close or little one made sudden movements, big one would hiss. but this is only day 2 of their relationship so i think its going pretty well!

new kitty is a nutjob

1) i have this stool in the corner of my dining room and she goes under it and twirls around on her hind legs occasionally using the rungs as support while she chases her tail. for like, 30 minutes at a time

2) last night she started "GI Joe" crawling across the floor. she stretched all out with her back legs extended out behind her and used her front claws in the carpet to drag herself across the floor on her stomach. she looked paralyzed or something. but she's not - she's just weird.

yesterday my cat burned off 3 of her whiskers trying to play in a candle. i had to let her learn the hard way though! it was kinda sad...now she looks silly

i just busted out my space heater tonight cause it is BRRRR and she LOVES it (the new kitty). she is just plopped down right in front of it as relaxed as can be. oh peace and quiet

I took my cat outside in her harness, on a leash.

When she DOES walk out there, she was like a little alligator: super wide stance, and waggling her ass.

All the other times she just laid down and I dragged her

If I didnt fail at posting pictures I'd show you how my six month old guy cat will sleep with his tongue sticking about half an inch out of his mouth and then forget that its still out of his mouth when he wakes up. He is such a retard.
