We moved up in the rivals.com rankings (up 3 spots to #19). You don't get penalized for losing midweek to decent teams. Miami lost to FAU and didn't drop. We are up 5 spots to #19 in the Baseball America poll too.

Game today @ 6:30 vs Campbell and then two games at 6:30 & 1:30 vs High Point.

Need a good showing and it should be good to see how our best pitching does against non-conference opponents as Shunick, Surkamp, and Sogard will start.

Won 8-2 Gave up a run on a sac fly in the 9th off of Travis High.

Scored 7 runs in the first 2 innings and then coasted from there. We had good deep hits, but the air was dead and they would make it to the warning track and then drop. Synan's homer just cleared the fence in right, same with Campbell's over left.

Lost 9-6 tonight. Surkamp gave up 6 runs in the first 2 innings. He pitched like he didn't care for some reason. Jake Buchanan came in and struck out 9 in 6 innings. He got the lost b/c we tied it in the 7th and then High Point got bases loaded in the 9th and got 3. Need to get it together and stop being our own worst enemy against non-con teams.

This is a terrible TERRIBLE loss, we need to beat the fuck out of them this afternoon.

We fell from #7 in the RPI to #12, and if we don't finish in the top 10 and above ECU than they are going to get the bid to host, not us.

The good news is, if we can beat UNCW, sweep Maryland and take at least 1 game from FSU we will probably be ok.

A win at UNCW will move us back up in the RPI (They are #27)

A sweep or 2/3 @ Maryland will put us in good position heading into the FSU series

Since we might be competing with ECU for a regional, they have to play a decent Tulane team (#51) and a terrible Memphis team to finish out their final weekend series.

Good news is, it is impossible for us NOT to finish 2nd place in the Atlantic.

Also, assuming we handle Maryland this weekend and UNC handles UVA, we should finish 4th overall easily.
