I wasn't trying to build a crane for uturn. I was trying to kick or throw the ball to the right hard enough that it would roll all the way through the loop. You'll find that if you launch it fast enough, right as it enters the turn, it bounces back toward the start.

Put a wheel toward the front with a throwing arm coming down. Put the ball under the wheel and to the right of the. Use a bunch of wheels connected to the first wheel to help it spin. The throwing arm should be curved for optimum flinging.

I can get it to move fast enough. It's just that damned invisible bump. It only affects the ball's path if it's going really fast though. But if the ball is going slow enough that the hump doesn't affect it, then it just barely doesn't make it around.

update:


while the clockwise multiple-cycle solution to U-turn is massively impressive, it is not infinite. I let it run while I ran to the store to pick up a few things, and when I came back it was farting around at the beginning of the U in perpetual fail.

however, the counter-clockwise solution created by bigman and perfected by myself seems to indeed be infinite, as it has run for an hour and a half now with no signs of any show-stopping alteration
