Not saying you're an awful person, you know that. Not saying you persecuted anybody over their religious beliefs either. But when Christianity has been the religion of the ruling class of this country since its inception, is it really that confusing why progressives hate it so much? For a long time (even now) people wield Christianity as a political weapon in the US -- you don't have to look far to see a bunch of moralizing Christians trying to push their arbitrary social views on others (using the apparatus of government as a club).

no everyone learns in economics 101 that communism in THEORY wasn't intended to be what it is in PRACTICE.

and no, socialism IS more of an economic theory. communism is more about WHO is in control. overlapping yet, i'm just saying if you talked about marx at all in economics (OR in any poli sci class/philosophy class), you hopefully took away these concepts.
