i think it would be nicer if he was a little more technology savvy but i think he has more experience than barack in a lot of other areas a lot more relevant to the duties of the president

I agree when people say he doesn't even need to use a computer. But you have to wonder, why hasn't he tried? And don't you think the lack of knowledge is going to affect his policies? 8/29/2008 7:14:16 PM |

i dont think lack of computer knowledge is necessarily going to affect his policies
i also think someone can show him the finer points of email, everyone on tww im sure knows its not that difficult

That and the amount of information he could find out by using the Internet is staggering. The Internet is basically indispensable to most middle-class Americans, and having a leader that doesn't get that may be a problem.
I guess I just find it hilarious that McCain is against net neutrality without actually understanding what the Internet is firsthand.

while the internet is obviously a huge resource of information, its also a huge resource of false and biased information...i'd rather either mccain or obama get the vast majority of their information from intelligence agencies, advisors, etc8/29/2008 7:26:33 PM |

....Bush's advisors told him there were WMDs in Iraq, too
sure there's bias on the internet, there'd be plenty of that from people in their cabinets as well
but there's still a lot of great information from reliable sources being shared on the web 8/29/2008 7:30:01 PM |

^^^how the hell is that biased? i'm saying its a good idea to not rely on the internet as your primary source of information, and i specifically mention that i'd prefer both candidates to do that, and thats biased? stfu

The thought of the most powerful man in the world, with many of the most knowledgeable people on the planet literally at his command, surfing wikipedia to research things is hilarious.
There is absolutely NO reason for the president to ever have to do any research himself. That would be a tremendous waste of time.8/29/2008 7:41:24 PM |

Yeah, I also don't really see the point of the president using the internet to try to obtain factual information...
But reading his own email? Couldn't hurt in my opinion, assuming it's not an open address that any random person could email. 8/29/2008 7:43:45 PM |
