and if all else fails and your phone is really completely screwed, i would think there is a way to recover the data by actually removing some chips from the phone. i remember reading a long article about how data was store on them once upon a time and a few engineers had to next to no trouble getting data off of broken phones..although i have no idea how they actually did it.

oh, and i have an SMD workstation so i can remove anything you want for free and have a bunch of equipment for reading data off of most chips

should i try to start my paper or say fuck it. i've done all the research and have an outline. only 15 pages so that is really like 6-7 pages, double spaced. it is due dec 11th. i have exams the 3, 5, and 8th. i work on the 11th. so i have the 9th and 10th. and she wants them e-mailed so i can do it from raleigh. i wanted to finish it before exams though. ugh. maybe i can write some tomorrow.
