From a Scout board. And it's working for me right now, but you have to be patient and give it a few tries with different proxies from CoDeen.

Ok... I figure out another way to do it. Seems like they fixed the proxy trick... heres a way to bypass the check.


Disclaimer:This is only to be used if you are in the service area but for some reason it is not regonizing it. Do not use this trick to view it if you are unathorized to do so.

Goes like this:

1. Download the index page from http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/espn360/index
The way I do this on my unix machine is
$ wget http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/espn360/index

2. Now that you have that file you need to edit it. If you notice the way they are figuring out wheter you are on an affialiate network is because of a variable call 'aff' and 'affname'. Search for the line that says:

var aff = ud.a;
var affname = ud.an;

Change these variables to:

var aff = "Sloan1919"; <-- This one can be anything
var affname = "Default"; <-- This is the key

3. Now open internet explorer. Go to file> open> Now select the file you just modified. If everything work it will say 'Congratulations! Your high speed internet service provider carries ESPN360.com'

4. Launch player and enjoy.

It's VERY important that you use a CoDeen proxy before steps 3 and 4 and then change away from the proxy as soon as you think it's working and before the video screen loads..
