The thing that sucks is the more that these non-BCS schools continue to improve, the more the major BCS teams are going to avoid playing them during the regular season and make it even harder for them to get any type of credit.

If you are in the SEC, Big 12, etc. what motivation do you have to play a team like Utah in the regular season? If you win you were suppose to, lose and its a "huge upset" and your out of the national championship picture.

This is a huge difference between college basketball and college football, one sport teams go out and try to schedule good teams to boost their SOS and in the other sport it is better to avoid it and just go undefeated in a BCS conference.

This year would have been such an awesome year for a playoff, I really feel like there were 6-7 teams that could be legitimate NC contenders and would have been awesome to see it play out on the field.
