He was only "owned" because it was 3-1, and he still killed Blackout and ripped Starscream's arm off.

Although I agree Megatron was too much of a bitch in this movie. I would have liked to see more autobots get taken out, seemed like most of the Decepticons were crap.

Other than that, and the geography issues, I thought it was damn good. The plot wasn't very good, but it was good enough to keep the action going in a mostly plausible manner.

I paid 7 dollars to be entertained for two and a half hours, and I was. Great action, good enough comedy, 30ft tall transforming robots and did I mention Meagan Fox is hot. Great movie!

That really bugged my wife about the movie. The guys vary quite a bit in the movie, but every girl onscreen is pretty much a 10. Even in T1, the "geek" girl was a hot piece of ass. I told her I understand, but its movie that is dumb and caters to teens and younger men, so don't be surprised when it shows a bunch of girls they are going to want to see, not a more realistic representation of women.

She also complained about how different Megan and Shia looked in age, esp. in the first movie. She certainly was shocked to find that Fox is only a month older than Shia.

Every girl a 10? I thought the Decepticon girl was not cute at all! Megan Fox is definitely a hottie, though.

Worked for Robocop... in Robocop 3... which was terrible.

From everything I've read/heard so far it sounds like this was better than the first one. I might $1.50 this one. I figure I'll get a better experience at Blue Ridge anyway due to the following report:

The first Transformers movie sucked, I won't waste my precious valuable time on the second. Shia Labouf is the Ben Affleck of the past few years; he has no talent and I don't see why he's in all these movies. Christ, the last Indiana Jones movie was pure fucking torture.

A movie having attractive women doesn't make it worth seeing for me. If thats all I'm looking for, there are other avenues for < movie prices these days, so that really has hardly any positive impact in deciding whether a movie was worth seeing for me. The CGI was definitely very well done within the context of the movie. After that, the story sucked, I can't stand Shia, and I thought the action scenes were more poorly put together than the first. Didn't really think the forced humor was that funny either.

/shrug. to be fair tho, I didn't really enjoy the first one much and wouldn't have seen this one until $1.50 unless friends were going so I wasn't super excited going it. It was about what I expected though. It might have been worth a rent or $1.50 but wasn't worth the full price.

This why I love TWW....Big competition about who can criticize the best.

I thought the movie was very enjoyable. A tad long, but only by 15-20 mins if that. I fully came into the movie knowing that it was about toys, kids buying toys, parents buying toys for their kids, and making money.

I enjoyed all the characters, the twins got on my nerves, but I came to enjoy them.

Looking fwd to Tran3.

not a competition, just stating opinions I think most people who saw the movie came into it knowing exactly what kind of movie it was, but that doesn't give it a free pass.

Definitely not saying just because I didn't like it that I expect everyone else to feel the same.

I loved how critics slammed this movie but it still put up a crazy amount of money the first week/weekend(2nd total only to Dark Knight). They're also predicting it'll be #1 again next weekend.

i knew that it was going to have a weak plot and super heavy GM placement, and some fucking awesome cgi scenes of giant robots cutting eachother up with heat swords. it delivered on that end quite well.

they really stepped up the awful attempts at humor compared to the first one, which i didn't really expect. that is what bothered me.

oh and they could've done a way better job on naming the "matrix of leadership".

well unless you are a professional critic, in order to criticize a movie, you do know you have to actually see it and most likely pay for it right? I knew the reviews were terrible, and wasn't that interested, but had friends going so I went and did not like it. In summary? They got my $ but that doesn't indicate quality, and the overall consensus in my group was a resounding "meh."

It's funny how this movie got mixed reviews from action movie fans, while the last movie seemed to be unanimously acclaimed by action movie fans... and both were just about on par with each other.

Hope for humanity?

saw this the other day, I enjoyed the first one so figured I would give this a try.

Overall I think the first one was MUCH better
I think the biggest thing I had a prob with was the Decepticon girl? When the fuck did they start looking like people? This is Transformers not Terminator

just found this on Yahoo and it pretty much sums up how I felt about this movie

http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/smg-transformers-10-questions.html

Quote :
" When did the National Mall start to look so much like to Tucson, AZ? Why does Sam's roommate not contribute anything at all? Why does Wheelie hump Mikaela's leg? Why do we have to see John Turturro's thong? Why are robots who join together to become Devastator also seen fighting the Army at the same time? Why does the government want only our military fighting Decepticons when our weapons seem unable to make so much as a dent on any of them? Why did the ancient Egyptians build a pyramid around the sun-destroying machines instead of just breaking it? Why is the Matrix of Leadership bigger in the Fallen's hand than in Sam's? "

Wait, wasn't there a post about Optimus Prime being largely useless because the military could have just killed all the Decepticons with a rail gun?

Edit:

"i don't know, do you think now is the right time?""

After reading so many sarcastic reviews I thought I was going to hate it. For a movie based off a line of toys it was pretty good. I was glad to see more dialogue between Megatron and Starscream. The first movie skipped over developing any of the Decepticons. The twins were the worst part of the movie. Did Michael Bay not see Star Wars 1?

+1 for John Tuturro's man-ass filling the screen. It grossed out the entire theater.
