do you not understand how senior day works? you could ride the pine all year as a walk on senior 12th man who only comes in with 45 seconds left and either a 30 point lead or a 30 point deficit...you still start on senior day...even if they pull you at the first dead ball...it has absolutely zero to do with the player's ability, and everything to do with showing respect to the senior class once per year

Considering that a bunch of people on here railed Herb for not starting walk-on Seniors on Senior day, I think it's worth discussing. I don't really care one way or the other, but it would have been nice to see him start the game.

we want to win. we're not making it to ncaa's unless we win the acct. and we'd have a better chance of that if we face unc on friday rather than sunday.

that aside, we're seemingly a lock for the NIT if we beat miami. it becomes more shaky if we lose. especially if we lose in the opening round of the acct.

my guess is even though we will be more tired than them since they get a thursday bye, it wont be like 2 years ago where we were tired as shit from already playing 3 games...they have depth...its better to get them before you're exhausted

course if we dont face them early, theres always the chance that someone else can knock them off before us

Just the way we match up, I don't see us beating UNC, if some other team has a star player go off, like a Vasquez or McClinton, UNC can definitely be beaten

but for us to get anywhere, I can't see us beating them realistically, of course I'd love to see it happen, but I still get a bitter taste in my mouth thinking about walking out of the St. Petersburg Times Forum Sunday night two years ago
